Port Lane at junction with Miles Green and Clews Lane, 1914
Port Lane was the main lane running north-south through the parish - it was part of the route from Guildford to Bagshot. The name referred to (at least) that section from Miles Green to Bisley Green, but probably from as far south as Riding Hill.
