Miles Green is a long narrow area of common land comprising approximately 15 acres situated in the middle of the parish, running from the junction of Clews Lane and Port Lane to Polled Oak Slade. In the Tithe Award it was measured at 14 acres 2 roods and 5 perches. The area of woodland near to where Miles Green met Polled Oak Slade was known as BISLEY WOOD.
