Lower Grove was an arable field, of about two and a half acres, situated on the corner where Church Lane makes a sharp turn, adjacent to South Earsh Common Field. In the Tithe Award it was measured at 2 acres 1 rood and 26 perches; described on the OS map as 2.368 acres.
