I James Hart of Woking in the County of Surrey late of Godalming do hereby 
declare all former wills made by me to be null and void and do now declare 
this to be my last Will and Testament viz.  I do give and bequeath unto my sons 
James Grove Hart Charles Hart William Hart and Tho.s Newman my son-in-
law as my Executors all my Freehold Houses, Tenements &c which now belong 
to me at Godalming Surrey also a piece of Land at Farncom and a Freehold 
House &c at Woking and all my ready money wheresoever it may be also my 
Goods, Chattles, Furniture of any kind and my wearing apparel and that it is my 
wish and will that my Estates shall be sold as soon as Convenient  after my 
decease, and all my moneys got in and equally divided in equal proportions 
amongst my sons James Grove Hart, Charles Hart William Hart and my 
Daughter Mary Newman Wife of Thomas Newman their Heirs  Executors or 
Assigns but first of all after getting all my monies &c in I order and direct that 
my four Children James Grove Hart, Charles Hart William Hart and Mary 
Newman shall apply each of them One Hundred Pounds Stock and the Interest 
of the said four Hundred pounds to be half yearly paid to my Daughter Ann 
Hart during her natural life and after her decease the said four hundred 
pounds Stock to be equally divided among my four Children James Grove Hart, 
Charles Hart William Hart and Mary Newman their Heirs  Executors and Assigns  
I also bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah Chatfield Wife of Walter Chatfield of 
Godalming the sum of ten Pounds  In witness whereof I have hereunto set my 
hand this 30 day of September in the Year of Our Lord one thousand eight 
hundred and forty  James Hart

James Grove Hart of Camberwell in the County of Surrey Butcher Charles Hart 
of Woking in the County of Surrey Butcher William Hart of the same place 
Butcher and Thomas Newman of the same place Brewer the Executors in this 
Will named were duly sworn to the truth and faithful performance thereof as 
usual and that the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased do not amount 
in value to the sum of three hundred pounds and that the deceased died on 
the sixth day of July 1842

This will of James Hart late of Woking in the County of Surrey, widower, 
deceased was proved on the fifth day of August 1842 before the Reverend 
Henry Ayling Clerk a surrogate by the oaths of James Grove Hart, Charles Hart 
William Hart the sons and Thomas Newman the Executors to whom admon 
was granted being first sworn duly to administer.
