In the Name of God Amen I Richard Young of Naphill in the parish of Woking in the County of Surrey Taylor Considering the uncertainty of this mortal Life and being of a sound perfect and well disposing mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the same Do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following - that is to say - First and Principally I commend by [sic] Soul to God who gave it, and my Body to the Earth to be decently Buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named And as to such Worldly Estate as God of his goodness has blessed me with After paying my just Debts Funeral Expences and proving of this my Will I dispose thereof as follows - that is to say - I give and Devise all that my Freehold Messuage or Tenement Garden and Land thereunto belonging with the appurtenances situate and lying Naphill aforesaid in the Tything of Goldsworth in the said parish of Woking now in my own Occupation which was lately Copyhold and has been enfranchised by me unto my Daughter Ann the wife of Benjamin Lee her heirs and assigns for ever Subject nevertheless and I do hereby charge the said premises with the payment of Two hundred and thirty Pounds Unto my son Richard Young to be paid to him One year after my Decease nevertheless my will and meaning is that every sum or sums of money I shall or may advance to my said son between the date of this my Will and my decease shall be deemed part of the said Sum of Two hundred and thirty pounds and shall be deducted therefrom accordingly I give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Ann Lee all my money Stock in Trade Housold Goods and personal Estate and Effects of every sort and kind subject to the payment of my just Debts Funeral and Testamentary expences I do hereby nominate Constitute and Appoint my said Daughter Ann Lee to be Sole Executrix of this my Will and revoking all former Will and Wills by me made I declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Testimony whereof I the said Richard Young the Testator have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the Sixteenth day of April One thousand seven hundred and ninety nine. Rich.d Young Signed Sealed published and Declared by the above named Richard Young the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as Witnesses thereto Richard Lee John Crane X his mark John Goring Ann Lee (wife of Benjamin Lee) the daughter & the sole Executrix within named was duly sworn as usual 7 the whole of the goods chattles & Credits do not amount in value to one hundred pounds. Richard Young the Testator was late of the Parish of Woking in the County of Surrey & died on the 26th day of Oct.r 1808 This Will was Proved on the twenty first day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and nine before the Reverend Henry Hammond Clerk Surrogate of the Worshipful John Sayer Master of Arts Commissary in and for the parts of Surrey lawfully constituted (pending the Annual Visitation) by the Oath of Ann Lee (wife of Benjamin Lee) the daughter and sole Executrix named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted she having been first sworn duly to administer.
