In the Name of God Amen I Philip Beauchampe of Chobham in the 
County of Surrey Gentleman being of sound mind memory and 
understanding praise be given to Almighty God for the same Doe 
make this my last Will and Testament in manner following revoking 
all former Wills by me made  First and principally I resign my soul 
into the hands of Almighty God who gave it And my body I commit to 
be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named  
And as for my real estate and also my personal estate I devise the 
same as followeth  Imprimis I give to my loving Daughter Elizabeth 
Sexton a Gold Ring of one Guinea value to wear in Remembrance of 
me  Item I give to my loving Daughter Anne Chilton a Gold Ring of 
one Guinea value to wear in Remembrance of me  Item I give to my 
eldest son Philip Beauchampe one shilling  Item I give and bequeath 
unto my Daughter Mary Beauchampe the sume of five hundred 
pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid within one year 
next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter 
Jane Beauchampe the like sume of five hundred pounds of lawfull 
money of Great Britain when she shall attain to the age of One and 
Twenty years  And I do by this my Will charge my personal estate 
with the payment of all my Legacies and in case of a deficiency in my 
personal estate to pay my Legacies I charge the Tythes of the West 
End of Chobham with the payment thereof  And in case it shall 
happen that my said Daughters Mary and Jane or either of them to 
marry against the consent and liking of Alice my beloved Wife That 
then and from thenceforth I give and bequeath their and each of 
their Legacies of five hundred pounds apeice to my said beloved 
Wife Alice only  I do give and bequeath unto each of my said 
Daughters Mary and Jane the sume of Fifty pounds apeice  Item I 
devise give and bequeath unto my youngest Son Anthony 
Beauchampe and to the heirs of his body for ever All that my 
copyhold Meadow pasture Land with the appurtenances called 
Palms Mead containing by estimation Two acres more or less which I 
purchased of Rachell Atfield situate in Chobham which copyhold 
Meadow I have surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the 
Mannor of Chobham To the use of my last Will  Also I devise give and 
bequeath unto my said Son Anthony Beauchampe and to the heirs of 
his body for ever All that the Impropriacon and the Great and predial 
Tythes or Tenths of the West End of Chobham and elsewhere in 
Chobham yearly arising growing rendiring and increasing and also all 
the Sumes of money or Mead Silver yearly paid and belonging to me 
out of the Meadows or Pasture Lands of the West End of Chobham 
or elsewhere in Chobham with their and every of their 
appurtenances and also all Profits and benefits belonging to the said 
Impropriacon by me purchased of Sr. George Woodcrofte And also all 
that my Great Barne called the Parsonage Barne And all that my 
Buildings called the Malthouse together with the Turfe house 
standing and being to a Messuage in Chobham aforesaid  Item I 
devise give and bequeath unto my youngest son Anthony 
Beauchampe and to the heirs of his body for ever All that my part of 
a Messuage or Tenement standing and being in Chobham aforesaid 
(and not by me settled in my Joynture of Marriage Settlem.t 
hereafter mentioned (viz.t) The Great Kitchin The Two Chambers 
over the great Kitchin, The Hall the Hall Chamber The Garrett over 
the Hall Chamber and a Little Chamber by the Stair Case next the said 
Garrett the cellar adjoyning to the Hall the Chamber over the Cellar 
the Stair Case a Passage leading into the Hall Chamber a Brewhouse 
and a Pantry adjoyning to it and all other my part of the said 
Messuage or Tenement with the Apptences not herein before 
mentioned and also one acre of arrable Land adjoyning to Benny 
Lane which I lately purchased of John Spong Yeoman And also all 
that Ground called the Hither Nalder containing by estimacon Four 
acres more or less And also all that Ground called the hither Inham 
containing by estimacon Five acres more or less  All which last 
mentioned premises are scituate lying and being in Chobham 
aforesaid And also all other my Freehold Lands Tenements and 
Buildings and part or parts of Freehold Lands Tenements and 
Buildings whatsoever lying and being in Chobham aforesaid and not 
mentioned in my Joynture of marriage settlement  Item I devise give 
and bequeath unto my said youngest Son Anthony Beauchampe and 
to the heirs of his body for ever All that my Freehold Messuage or 
Tenement Gardens Orchards Edifices Buildings Outhouses and one 
Close of arrable Land thereunto adjoyning and belonging containing 
by estimacon Two acres more or less with the appurtenances 
scituate lying and being in the parish of Bisley in the County of Surry 
and now in my own Tenure or occupation  Item I devise give and 
bequeath unto my said youngest Son Anthony Beauchampe and to 
the heirs of his Body for ever All those my Copyhold Lands arrable 
Meadow and Pasture with the appurtenances containing by 
estimation nineteen acres more or less lying and being in the said 
parish of Bisley and in my own occupation which said Copyhold 
Lands I have surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the Mannor 
of Bisley aforesaid To the use of my last Will  And also further my Will 
and meaning is and I doe devise and give In Case of default of lawfull 
Issue of the Body of my said son Anthony All and Singular that my 
Copyhold Mead called or known by the name of Palm Mead with the 
appurtenances all that my Impropriacon and the Great and Prediall 
Tythes or Tenths aforementioned in Chobham Mead Silver yearly 
due and payable with all profits and benefits belonging to the said 
Impropriacon all that my Great Barn called the Parsonage Barne all 
those my buildings called the Malthouse and Turfehouse All that my 
Freehold Messuage or Tenement and Lands with th'appurtences 
scituate in Bisley aforesaid And also all my Copyhold Lands arrable 
and Meadow with th'appurtences containing by estimation Nineteen 
acres more or less scituate in Bisley aforesaid And also all that part of 
my Messuage or Tenement in Chobham aforesaid hereinbefore 
particularly mentioned One acre of Land adjoyning to Benny Lane 
Acre and that Ground called the hither Nalder and that Ground 
called the hither Inham and all other my Freehold Lands Tenements 
and buildings and parts of Lands Tenements and buildings 
whatsoever lying and being in Chobham aforesaid and not 
mentioned in my said Joynture unto my loving Wife Alice 
Beauchampe and to her heirs and assignes for ever  Item I do 
nominate and appoint Thomas Chilton of Eton in the County of 
Bucks Gent and William Collyer of Chobham aforesaid yeoman 
Trustees of this my Will And I do desire them to assist my Executrix 
hereafter named in paying the Legacies  Item all my Goods and 
Chattels not given nor bequeathed I give and bequeath unto alice my 
beloved Wife whom I doe make constitute and appoint full Executrix 
of this my last Will and Testament she paying my Legacies and 
funerall Expences  In witness whereof I the said Phillip Beauchampe 
have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two sheets of 
paper to each sheet sett my hand and seal this Eighth day of July in 
the third year of the Reign of our Soveraigne Lord George the second 
by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King 
Defender of the faith &c Annoq Dni One Thousand seven hundred

Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us 
who subscribed our Names as Witnesses in his presence and at his

This Will was proved at London the Fifteenth day of November in the 
year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Four 
Before the Right Worshipfull John Bettesworth Doctor of Laws 
Master Keeper or Commissary of the prerogative Court of 
Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Alice Beauchampe 
Widow Relict and sole Executrix named in the said Will To whom 
Administration was granted of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the 
said deceased she being first sworn by Commission duly to 
Administer.
