This is the last Will & Testament of me Anthony Harding of Dulwich in the County of Surrey Esquire I give and bequeath unto my niece Miss Eliza Shaw of Hammersmith the Legacy or sum of one hundred pounds Unto my Niece Mrs James Macdougall the like Legacy or sum of one hundred pounds Unto my Niece Mrs Caroline Tetlow the Legacy or sum of fifty pounds unto my Gardener John Marsh if in my service at the time of my decease the Legacy or sum of nineteen pounds nineteen shillings And unto each of the servants living with me at the time of my decease and whom shall have been in my service for more than two years the sum of Ten pounds and to all my servants a suit of mourning Also I give and bequeath unto my kind friend William Joseph Meyers of Liverpool Esquire the sum of nineteen guineas for the purchase of a Ring to be kept by him in remembrance of me And I direct that the said several Legacies shall be paid within three Calendar months after my decease I give and devise all my manor farm and lands called Thurrock Hall in the parish of Thurrock near Grays in the County of Essex and all other my lands in the said County and also my farm and lands called New Close Farm in the parish of Etwall in the County of Derby and all other my lands in the said last mentioned County and all other my messuages lands tenements hereditaments and real estate whatsoever and wheresoever whether in possession reversion remainder or expectancy which I may be seized of or entitled to at the time of my decease with all the appurtenances thereof unto and to the use of my daughter Elizabeth Withington the Widow of the late Thomas Scholes Withington deceased her heirs and assigns for ever I give and bequeath all my leasehold messuages and premises in Pall Mall in the County of Middlesex or elsewhere with the appurtenances thereof unto my said daughter Elizabeth Withington her executors administrators and assigns for and during all my estate and interest therein Also I give and bequeath all my household goods and furniture plate linen china glass books wines and other liquors and all my monies and securities for money and all my Capital and stock in trade debts goods chattels rights credits and all other my personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever (subject nevertheless to the payment thereout of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences and the Legacies hereinbefore bequeathed) unto my said daughter Elizabeth Withington her executors administrators and assigns for her and their own absolute use and benefit And I appoint her sole Executrix of this my will and in case my said daughter should experience any difficulty or require any advice or assistance in converting my estate and effects or in winding up my affairs or in connection with her Executrixship in any way whatsoever I recommend her to consult with my said friend William Joseph Meyers and be guided by his counsel and advice feeling persuaded that his assistance will be of the greatest value and that he will be happy to render it whenever required And my will further is and I declare that if my said daughter shall die in my lifetime all and every my real and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever (subject nevertheless to the payment thereout of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences and the Legacies hereinbefore bequeathed) shall go and belong to all and every the children of my said daughter who shall be living at my death in equal shares and proportions if more than one and to the issue of any child or children of my said daughter who may have died in my lifetime leaving issue living at the time of my decease such issue taking the share or shares which his her or their parent or parents would have taken if living And I do hereby give devise and bequeath my said real and personal estate unto the said Child children and issue (in the event aforesaid) and their heirs executors administrators and assigns accordingly And lastly I revoke all former will and wills by me at any time made In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this Twenty second day of December one thousand eight hundred and forty eight _Anthy Harding Signed and declared by the said Anthony Harding as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us (both of us being present at the same time) who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses _ Joseph Maynard 57 Coleman Street _ William Roper Maynard 57 Coleman Street.
