In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Alexander the Elder in the parish of Chobham in the County of Surry Carpenter being in perfect mind and Memory do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form Following first I give and bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almighty god and my Body to the Earth there to be decently Buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named and as for such worldly possessions as God have given me I give and bequeath the same as followeth First I give and bequeath unto my Son John my House with the Barns Buildings Orchards and Gardens and one Plott of Ground thereunto adjoining and belonging which house and Land I purchased of Mr Bartholomew in the Parish of Frimley in the County abovesaid to be to him and his Heirs forever Item I Give unto my Five Grand children the sons of John Street to be paid by my son John To Henry Four pounds To Thomas Five pounds To Arthur Four pounds To John One pound To James One pound to be paid to them as they shall come to the age of One and Twenty Years and if any of them depart this Life before that time to be equally between the living divided Item I Give unto my Daughter Judy the Wife of John Street the sum of Ten pounds to be paid to she within one year after my decease And again my Will is that my son John shall pay to his Brother Thomas the sum of Six pounds towards the paying of my debts within one year after my decease here endeth my son John's payments Item I Give unto my Daughter Ann the Wife of Martin Beauchamp the sum of Forty pounds to be paid to she within one year after my decease Item I Give unto my Daughter Sarah the sum of Fifty pounds to be paid to she within one year after my decease also I Give unto my son in Law John Street the sum of Ten pounds to be paid to him within one year after my decease Also I give unto two of his children to John Three pound to James three pound to be paid to them as above written Item I Give unto my son Arthur my House in the Parish of Yately with the Barns Buildings and Land thereunto belonging to be to him and his Heirs forever Item I Give unto my son Thomas the House I now live in with the Barns Buildings Gardens and Orchards and Freehold Land thereunto belonging with all my Goods to be to him and his Heirs forever him I make full Executor of this my last Will and Testament he paying my debts Legacies which are for him to pay and my Funerall Expences In Witness hereof have hereunto set my hand and seal the Twelfth day of August in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred thirty Six and so the Lord have mercy on me. The mark of Thomas Alexander Signed Sealed delivered and declared by me Thomas Alexander to be my last Will and Testament in the presence of Richard Knight Henry Hathwell Edward Feild This will was proved at London the twenty Eighth day of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty three before the Worshipfull George Harris Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Thomas Alexander the Son of the deceased and sole Executor named in the said Will To whom administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased being first sworn duly to administer the same.
