This is the Last Will and testament of me Stephen Smither of 
White Rose in the parish of Woking in the County of Surrey 
Nursery & Agricultural Labourer  First I direct all my just 
debts Funeral and Testamentary charges and expences to be paid 
and discharged by my Executor as soon as may be after my 
decease  I give and bequeath unto my Son Stephen Smither of 
Woking aforesaid Nursery Labourer One Table and the Sum 
of Ten Shillings sterling  I give devise and bequeath unto 
Caroline Smith (my Housekeeper) wife of George Smith of 
Woking aforesaid Labourer all my Freehold Cottage Garden 
and Buildings thereunto belonging and all the remainder of my 
Household goods and furniture ready Money and all Sums of 
Money as shall be owing and due to me at the time of my 
decease on mortgages by specialty or simple contract and also 
all and singular the rest and remainder of my personal estate 
property and effects whatsoever and wheresoever whether in 
possession reversion expectancy or otherwise howsoever  I give 
devise and bequeath the same unto her the said Caroline Smith 
her executors administrators heirs and assigns absolutely and 
forever  And I hereby nominate and appoint George Harris of 
Woking aforesaid Tailor to be executor of this my Will and 
hereby revoking all former wills I declare this to be my Last 
Will.   In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 
fourteenth day of July One thousand eight hundred & fifty six

This Will of Stephen Smither late of White Rose in the parish of 
Woking in the County of Surrey deceased was proved on the 2nd 
day of December in the Year of our lord 1857 Before the 
Reverend John Richards clerk a surrogate by the Oath of George 
Harris the sole Executor named in the said will to whom Admon 
was granted he having been first sworn duly to administer.
