In the name of God Amen I Henry Martin of Wokeing in the County of Surrey yeoman Doe make my last will and Testament in manner and forme following First I commend my Soule to God hopeing to be saved by the death of Jesus Christ and I order my body to be decently buryed and as concerning my worldly estate I give and dispose thereof as followeth (to witt) I give and bequeath to my loveing wife Elizabeth all that my copyhold messuage or tenement with all barnes orchards yards edifices and buildings called and known by the name of Whiterose and alsoe twenty and one acres of arable land meadow brooke and pasture be they more or less with all and singular their appurtenances being in the parish of Wokeing aforesaid called by severall names mentioned in a surrender thereof by me made to the use of my last Will the same being copyhold holden of the Mannor of Wokeing in the said County and all other my copyhold lands tenements and hereditaments holden of the said Mannor To hold to my said wife Elizabeth and her assignes for and dureing the terme of her naturall life only and from and after her decease I give and devise the same to my son Henry Martin his heires and assignes forever Alsoe I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Martin the summe of Two hundred and fifty pounds of lawfull money of great Britain to be paid her at the age of one and twenty yeares and all the rest and residue of my goods chattels rights credits ready money and personall estate whatsoever (after my debts legacies and funeral expence paid and discharged) I give and bequeath to my said wife Elizabeth whom I nominate constitute and appointe full and sole executrix of this my last will and Testament and I revoke all former wills by me made and I declare such devise to my said wife for life of my said copyhold lands in Woking aforesaid to be for the settleing thereof on her for her life in pursuance of and according to the purport and intent of the condition of a certain bond I have from her late father John Jolley deceased for four hundred pounds In Testimony whereof I have hereto sett my hand and seale the eight and twentieth day of November in the thirteenth yeare of the reigne of King George the second over great Britain and so forth and in the year of our Lord one thousand seaven hundred thirty and nine Henry Martin Signed sealed published and declared by the said Henry Martin the Testator to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who subscribed our names as Witnesses thereof in the presence of the said Testator and of one another Henry Denyer Geo.e Martin John Shotter This Will of Henry Martin late of the Parish of Woking in the County of Surrey deceased was proved on the Twelfth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seaven hundred and Forty seaven before the Worshipfull Charles Pinfold Doctor of Laws the Official by the Oath of Elizabeth Martin Widow the Relict and sole Executrix To whom Administration was granted being first sworn by Commission faithfully to administer.
