In the name of God Amen I Jane Harvest of Wokeing in the County of Surry Widow being weak in Body but of sound and perfect mind Memory and Understanding praised be Almighty God for the same Doe make publish and Declare this to be my Last Will and Testament in manner and Followeing (that is to say) First and principally I Commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my body I committ to the earth to be Decently Buryed at the Discretion of my Executors hereinafter named And as touching such Temporall Estate wherewith it hath pleased Almighty God to Bless me I Dispose thereof as Followeth First I Give Devise and Bequeath unto my Daughter Jane Walden All that my Copyhold messuage or Tenement Garden and Backside and all other the Edifices and Buildings thereunto belonging together with one platt of Ground Containing by estimation one Acre and an half be it more or less situate lyeing and being in the Tything of Kingfield in the parish of Wokeing aforesaid and which I have heretofore surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the Mannor of Wokeing to the use of my Will To Hold unto my said Daughter Jane Walden for and during the Term of her naturall life without Impeachment of Wast and after her Decease then I Give Devise and bequeath the aforesaid premises unto my loveing Grandson Richard Smith his heirs and Assigns forever Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Grand Daughter Elizabeth Combes my sattin Gown and Coate and my Cambrick Head Cloaths Hankerchiefs and Ruffles Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth Combes my Muslin Apron and White Silk Hankerchiefe Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Grand Daughter Diana Stanton the sume of One Pound one Shilling to be paid by my Executors hereinafter mentioned within Six Months after my Decease Item I Give to my Daughter Mary Daws my Velvett hood and Black Cloak and Silk Apron Item I Give to my Daughter Ann Lee my Couch and Rugg for the Term of her naturall life and after her Decease to her son Thomas Item I Give to my Grand Daughter Mary Lee my Dressing Glass Item I Give to my Grand Daughter Sensia Dee A Burdean & Gown and a couple of shifts Item I Give to my Daughter Jane Wald my Chest of Drawers and a warming pan my Bed Bedstidle Curtains Vallance and Rodds and the Bolster belonging to the same and a pottage pott Item I Give to my Grandson Francis Harvest my Bible Item I Give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary Daw all the remainder of my household Goods to keep of the same what shee thinks proper for herself and to dispose of the Rest amongst my Relations at her own Discretion Item as to all the Rest and Residue of my personal estate of what nature or kind soever it be such as Bonds Bills Notes and other Securities for money I Give and bequeath unto my loveing Sons and daughters Robert Harvest John Harvest Jane Walden Elizabeth Combes Ann Lee and Mary Daws to Divided equally amongst them share and share alike after my Debts Legacys and Funerall Expences are fully paid and Discharged And I do hereby nominate Constitute and Appoint my said two sons Robert and John Harvest Joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament And lastly I do hereby disanull and make void all former and other Wills by me made hereby declaring this to be my last Will and Testament In Wittnesse whereof I the said Jane Harvest have hereunto sett my hand and seal to this my last Will and Testament the Twenty Second day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Thirty Six. The marke Jane of Jane Harvest Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have Subscribed our names as Wittnesses in the said Testatrix presence John Climp Fra.s Allbury T Dewhurst This Will was proved on the 19th Day September in the year of our Lord 1739 before the Worshipful Edward Kinaston Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the Oath of John Harvest One of the Executors To whom Admon was granted being first sworn duly to Administer.
