In the name of God Amen The Fourth Day of February Anno Dni 1710 I Edward Goring of the Parish of Horsell in the County of Surry Yeoman, being sick in Body but of sound and perfect mind and understanding Thanks be to God for the same do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following Imprimis I recomend my soul into the hands of Almighty God And my body to be buried in such decent manner as my Executrix hereafter mentioned shall think proper And as to such worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with I give devise and bequeath in manner following Item I give and devise unto my Eldest Son John Goreing all that my dwelling House or Farm wherein I now Live at Horsell aforesaid with all and singular the Barns Outhouses Lands and premises with the appurtenances whatsoever to the said Farm belonging and appertaining To hold the same to him and his Heirs for Ever from and immediately after the Decease of my Wife Elizabeth (she being Enjoyntured in the same) Item I give and devise unto my said Son John all those my arrable Lands lying in Horsell aforesaid containing by estimation Eighteen Acres be the same more or less and called or known by the Name of Bunions when he shall attain to the Age of One and Twenty Years To hold the same from thence to him and his Heirs for ever Item I give and devise unto my said Son John all that Freehold Mead lying and being in the Parish of Chobham in the County aforesaid and known by the Name of west Mead and also all that my peice of Brook Ground called long Lane Brook lying and being in the Parish of Wokeing in the County of Surry when he shall attain to the Age of One and Twenty Years To hold the same from thence to him and his Heirs for ever Item I give and devise unto my said Son John all my Copyhold Lands and Tenements whatsoever lying and being in the Mannor of Bisley in the said County And also all my Copyhold Lands and Tenements whatsoever lying and being in the Mannor of Chobham in the said County when he shall attain to the Age of One and Twenty Years To hold the same to him and his Heirs for ever according to the custom of the said Mannors which said Copyhold premises I have surrendered to the use of this my last Will which before devised Lands and premises unto my said Son John given shall stand chargeable with and subject to the payment of Six hundred pounds to my Son Edward Goreing And the Summe of Six hundred pounds unto my Son William Goreing which I give and bequeath to each of them respectively to be paid to them respectively by my said Son John when they shall attain to their respective Ages of Twenty one years Item I give and devise unto my Son James Goreing all that my Farm with all and singular the Barns Stables outhouses Lands and premises with the appurts thereto belonging or appertaining situate and being at Worplesdon in the said County when he shall attain to his Age of One and Twenty years To hold the same from thence to him and his Heirs for Ever subject to and chargeable with and out of the same unto my Daughter Elizabeth the summe of Three hundred pounds which I give and bequeath unto my said Daughter to be paid by my said Son James out of the said Farm when she shall attain the Age of One and Twenty years And if it shall happen that my Eldest Son John shall dye before he shall attain to the Age of Twenty one years Then my will and meaning is and I do devise and direct that the Estate herein to him devised as aforesaid shall be equally divided amongst my surviving Children when they shall attain the Age of Twenty one years share and share alike And if my younger Children shall dye before they or either of them shall attain to the Age of Twenty one years Then I will and direct that the premises or Bequest or Portion of such younger Child so dying shall be equally divided between my younger Children Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth the summe of Fifty pounds to be paid to her by my Executrix when she shall attain to the Age of Twenty one years And further I will and direct that my loving Wife Elizabeth shall have and enjoy the profitts and Rents of my Estate untill my Children shall respectively attain to their respective Ages of One and Twenty years for and towards their bringing up maintenance and Education And Lastly I make constitute and appoint my loving Wife Elizabeth my sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament unto whom I give and bequeath all the Rest of my Goods and chattles whatsoever To hold the same to her and her Assigns for Ever And I further appoint and desire my loving Friends Henry Edmead John Inwood John Collyer of Horsell and Henry Rogers of Chobham and Joseph Roake to be Trustees and Overseers of this my last Will and Testament unto Revoking and disanulling all former Wills by me heretofore made In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seal the day and year first above written.
