In the name of God Amen  The Nine and Twentieth day of Aprill in 
the Fourth yeare of the Raigne of our Sovraigne Lord King James the 
second &t Anno Dni 1688  I John Bedford of Woking in the County of 
Surrey Butcher being very sick and weak but of sound and perfect 
mind & memory praysed be Allmighty God for the same, Doe make 
this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following (That 
is to say)  First and principally I comend my soule to Allmighty God 
my creator assuredly belevieing that by the merritts & reconciliation 
of my blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ I shall receive full pdon 
and free remission of all my Sinnnes and be saved  And I bequeath 
my Body to the Earth to be decent and Christianly buryed according 
to the discretion of mine Executrix hereafter named  And as for such 
temporall Estate as the Lord of his infinite goodness and mercy hath 
lent unto me I give and bequeath thereof as followeth (That is to say) 
First of all I give and bequeath unto John Bedford my sonne the 
sume of Forty shillings of lawfull money of England to be paid unto 
him when he shall attaine and be of his full age of One and Twenty 
yeares   Item I give and bequeath unto Anne Bedford my daughter 
the sume of Five pounds of like lawfull money of England to be paid 
unto her when she shall attaine and be of her full age of One and 
Twenty yeares  Item all the rest of my Goods and Chattells 
whatsoever are yet unbequeathed I give and bequeath unto Sarah 
my now Wife whom I make and ordaine sole Executrix of this my last 
Will & Testament she paying of my Debts & Legacies before named 
and alsoe All my Funerall Charges And I declare this to be my last Will 
and Testament only  In wittness whereof I have hereunto set my 
hand and seale the day and yeare first above written.
