In the name of God Amen  I Thomas Johnson of the parish Woking 
in the Countey of Surrey Cordwainer do hereby Revoke all Wills and 
Testaments by me heretofore made or published and do make 
publish and declare this my last Will & Testament whereby I dispose 
of my Reale and Personall Estate as followeth, Item, I give unto John 
Bristow the son of Jane my beloved Wife, to him and to his 
disposing for ever subject to the payment these my Legases 
hereafter to be mentioned, all that my Barn and Lands containing 
abought Nine Acers more or less, commonly known by the name of 
Emsworth lying and being in the parish of Woking in the county 
aforsaid, Item I give unto my sister Elizabeth May two shillings and 
six pence, and I give unto my neice Ann May the daughter of Daniel 
May of Worpelsdun sixty pounds to be paid her when she come to 
one and Twenty years of age, and not before the above two legases I 
would have paid out of the above Lands which I have given to John 
Bristow, Item, I give unto Jane my beloved Wife all my personal 
Estate money good and chattels for the Terme of her natural life, and 
after her death, to John Bristow son of Jane my wife for ever. Subject 
to the payment of my legases hereafter mentioned, I give unto 
Daniel Gillham now or late of East Harting in the County of Sussex 
Gardner five pounds, to be paid att the end of one calendar month 
after the day of my burial, I give unto my cousien James Johnson of 
Sene alias Send five pounds, and if itt should so happen that this my 
last Will and Testament should not be  worded according as the law 
directs, my Will and meaning is that the before named John Bristow 
should have all that my Barn and Nine Acres of Land for his selfe and 
to his disposing for ever, paying out of itt the before mentioned two 
legases, that is to my sister Elizabeth May two shillings and six pence, 
and two my neice Ann May sixty pounds when she comes to the age 
of one and Twenty years and I do hereby apoint and make Jane my 
beloved Wife and John Bristow her son, my hole and sole Executers 
of this my last Will and Testament, thay paying my lawfull Debts and 
Funerall charges,  In wittness whereof I have to this my last Will and 
Testament contained in one sheet of papper sett my hand and seale 
the 16th day of June and in the year of our Lord 1759.

This Will of Thomas Johnson late of the parish of Wooking in the 
County of Surry deceased was proved on the 10th day of March in the 
year of our Lord 1760 before the Reverend Cornelius Jeale Clerk a 
Surrogate by the Oath of Jane Johnson Widow the Relict and John 
Bristow the Executors to whom administration was granted they 
being duly sworn to administer.
