In the Name of God Amen I William Bowell of Send in the County of Surry Yeoman Doe make my last Will and Testament as followeth First I commend my soule into the hands of Almighty God hoping to be saved by the Death of Jesus Christ and my Body I Commit to the Earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named And as to my Worldly Estate I dispose thereof in manner following (that is to say) First my will is that all my Debts be paid Then I Give and Devise to my Dear and loving Wife All that my Freehold Messuage or Tenement Lands and Heredits to the same belonging situate lying and being in the said parish of Send now in the Occupation of John Tegg for and during the Term of her Natural life and from and after her decease I Give and bequeath the same to my son Philip Bowell his heirs and assigns for ever Also I Give and bequeath unto Mary Bowell the daughter of my Daughter Mary Monger deceased before she married George Monger the sum of Fifty pounds at the End of six months after my decease And all the rest and residue of my Goods Chattels and Personal Estate I Give and bequeath unto my said loving Wife and my said son Philip Bowell Equally to be divided between them And I nominate and Appoint them Joint Executors of this my last Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me made In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Twelfth day of May One thousand seven hundred sixty and six. Mellersh John Martyr Will.m Parsons This Will was proved at London the fourteenth day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and sixty eight before the Right Worshipful George May Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully Constituted by the Oath of Philip Bowell the son of the deceased and one of the Executors named in the said Will to whom Administration was Granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased he having been first sworn by Commission duly to Administer (Power reserved of making the like Grant to Olive Bowell widow the Relict of the said deceased and the other Executor when she shall apply for the same).
