In the name of God Amen the Eight day of July in ye sixth year of the Reigne of or Sovereign Lord & Lady William & Mary King and Queen over England &c Annoq Dmi 1691 I Edward Young the Elder of Wokeing in the County of Surrey Taylor being very sick & weak but of sound & pfect minde and memorie do make & ordaine this my last Will & Testament in manner and form following (viz) First and principally I commend my soule into the hands of Almighty God who gave it and my body to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named Item I give and bequeath unto Jane my Wife all the houshold goods that she brought with her when we were married and I give & bequeath unto her twenty shillings of lawfull money of England to be paid to her by my Exec.r within three moneths next after my decease. Item I give unto her all the Apples pears and beans in the backside till Michaelmas next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto Edward Young my son all my Freehold Messuage Tenem.t backside and close with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging he paying thereout unto my sd Wife yearly and every year during her naturall life the sum of Twenty shillings of lawfull money of Engld in lieu of her thirds, quarterly the first quarterly paym.t to be made on the first quter day that happens next after my decease, But if my said son Edward his Heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assigns do refuse to pay unto my sd wife the sd yearly sum of Twenty shillings or any part thereof in manner afforesaid That then my sd Freehold messuage Tenem.t backside and close with all and singular the appurtenances the appurtenances [sic] thereunto belonging shall be and remain to the use and behoofe of my sd wife during her naturall life and after her decease to the use and behoofe of my sd son Edward his heirs and assigns for ever Item I also give and bequeath unto him my sd son Edward the sum of Five and Twenty pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid unto him by my Ex.r within Three moneths next after my decease Item I give unto my son Rich.d Young one Feather bed and bolster and bedsted and all the furniture thereunto belonging now standing in the middle chamber Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Seabrooke wife of Rob.t Seabrooke of Send in the County of Surrey husbandman the sum of Five and thirty pounds of lawfull money of Eng.d to be paid unto her by my Ex.r within Six moneth next after my decease and I give her a little six cornerd box standing in the hallchamber and I give her a pair of Flaxen sheets Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Joan Lamboll wife of John Lamboll of Wokeing the sum of Five and Twenty pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid unto her or her heirs or Assigns by my Ex.r within Six moneths next after my decease Item I give her the feather bed that I lay upon together with two blanketts and a Coverlett Curtains and bolster and one pillow and I give her one box standing in the hall Chamber; and the linen that is in him I give and bequeath unto my daughter Anne Seabrook and my daughter Joan Lamboll to be equally divided between them Item I give unto Rich.d Young my Grandson & son of my son Edward Young the sume of Twenty pound of lawfull money of England to be paid by my Ex.r within Three moneths next after my decease into the hands of Mr Thomas Young whom I make my Trustee to make the best use of it he can for my sd Grandson till he come to the age of one and Twenty years and then to be paid unto him my sd Grandson Rich.d Young Item I give him one great joyned chest and one little chest standing in the hall Chamber and one little fowling peece & one stall of bees to be deliverd to him by my Ex.r Imediately after my decease Item I give unto my Brother Richard Young Sen.r five shillings to be paid to be paid by my Ex.r within a fornight after my decease Item all the rest of my houshold goods now standing and being within my sd dwelling house I give and bequeath to be equally divided betweene my sons Edw.d Young & Rich.d Young and my daughters Ann Seabrooke and Joan Lamboll Item all my corn and goods and chattells whatsoever which I have nott as yett disposed of I give and bequeath unto my son Rich.d Young Making him my sole Ex.r to this my last will and testam.t And I do hereby frustrate and make void all other wills by me heretofore made hereby constituting this to be my last Will and testam.t and desiring Mr Thomas Young of Woking and John Woods of the same to be mine Overseers In wittnesse whereof I the sd Edward Young to this my last will and Testam.t have sett my hand and seal the day and year first above written. the marke E and seal of Edward Young Signed sealed published pronounced & declared by the sd Edward Young the Elder to be his last will & testam.t in the prsence of us ye mrke of + Thomas Searle ???
