In the name of God Amen the eighth day of October Anno Dmi 1649 I John Edmeade of Horsell Carpenter in the County of Surry being sickly and feeble of Body but of perfect minde and memory I doe give God praise therefour I doe make and ordaine this my last Will and testament in manner and forme following that is to say. First I comend my soule unto Almighty God my Maker and Redeemer And my Body to be buried in christian buriall Item I give unto the poore of the pishe of Horsell three shillings foure pence to be paid unto them at Christmas next after my decease.
