In the name of God Amen I John Stedman of the Parish of Woking in the County of Surry Husbandman in Consideration of the Uncertainty of this mortal life being of sound and perfect mind memory blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last Will & Testament in manner and Form following (that is to say) I give and bequeath unto Mary my beloved wife all my Goods and Chattles of what kind and nature soever and to sell & dispose of any of the same as she thinks proper and aply the money arising therefrom and also all moneys which I shall have at my Decease Bond writing or other securities to and for her own proper use and for all manner of necessares without her giving any account for so doing but after her dicease and after mine and her just debts are fully payd and satisfied and all Funeral Expences Cleared what of my personal Estates before mentioned shall then be left and remain I will give and bequeath amongst all my Children share & share alike Lastly I hereby Apoint Mary my Beloved wife my sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal the Sixteenth day of August in the nineteenth yeare of the Reign of Our Soveirring Lord George the third and in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy nine. John Stedman Signed Selaled published and declared by the above named John Stedman to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of the Testator John Mathew the mark of X James Collyer the mark of X William Woods The words Bonds writings or other securitis where interlined before the Inseling thereof And wereas I John Stedman did omitt in this my will the following articles which is my will it should stand part of my will that is if any of my children should dye before their shear should become payable and leave any child or children lawfully begotten then such child or children should have their father or mothers part Lastly I appoint my son John Steadman and my son in Law Thomas Adams trustees to take care of and manaige my estate for my said Wife and my will is that they be paid Reasonably for their trouble and expences for so doing In Wittness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this ninth day of October in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy and nine in the presence of John Stedman the mark of X John Smith the mark of X James Collyer On the 28th day of May 1795 Administration with the Will annexed of and singular the Goods Chattles and Credits of John Stedman late of the Parish of Woking in the County of Surry deceased was granted pending the Annual Visitation to James Stedman the Son and one of the Universal Legatees constituted in the said will he having been first sworn duly to administer Mary Stedman widow the Relict Sole Executrix and Universal Legatee for life named in the said will dyeing in the life time of the Testator.
