In the name of God Amen  the Nineteenth day of December in the 
Thirtyeth yeare of the Raigne of our Sovraigne Lord King Charles the 
second &c  Annoq Domi 1678  I Richard Running of Woking in the 
County of Surrey yeoman being sick and weake in Body but of sound 
and pfect memory thanks be to Allmighty God for the same Doe 
make my last Will & Testament in manner and forme following (That 
is to say) First and principally I comend my soule to Allmighty God my 
Creator assuredly believeing that by the meritts and reconciliacon of 
my blessed Lord and saviour Jesus Christ I shall receive full pardon 
and free remission of all my sinnes and be saved and my Body I 
bequeath to the Earth to be buryed in decent and Xpian manner 
according to the discrecon of my Executors hereafter named  Item I 
give and bequeath unto Richard Runninge my sonne all my Goods 
and Chattells whatsoever upon Condicon that the said Richard 
Runninge my sonne shall keepe and bring up Hannah Runninge my 
youngest daughter untill shee the said Hannah shall attaine to her 
full age of Twenty yeares and I make and ordaine the said Richard 
Runninge my sonne sole Executor of this my last will & Testament he 
paying of my debts and Funerall charges  And it is my further will and 
meaning that if the said Richard Runninge my sonne shall not keep 
and bring up the said Hannah Running to the said age of Twenty 
yeares according as she ought to be brought up and according to her 
content That then the said Richard Runninge my sonne his Executors 
or Administrators shall pay unto Edward Maydman of Ockham in 
the County of Surrey (my sonne in Law) the sume of Tenn pounds of 
lawfull money of England for the bringing up of the said Hannah my 
daughter to her age of Twenty yeares And I frustrate and make voyd 
all Willes formerly by me at any time made and done and declare this 
to be my last Will & Testament only  In Wittnes whereof I have 
hereunto set my hand & Seale the day and first above written.
