In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Buckland of the Parish of Walton upon Thames in the County of Surry Carpenter being in health of Body and of sound and perfect Mind and Memory Praise be therefore given to Almighty God Do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say First and Principally I Commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping through the Merits death and Passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have Full and Free Pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and to Inherit everlasting Life and my Body I Commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix here after named and as touching the disposition of all my Temporal Estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I Give thereof as followeth First I will that my Debts and Funeral Charges shall be paid and discharged in convenient time after my decease Item I Give unto my Kinsman John Pokens Son William Pokens One shilling Item I Give unto my Kinswoman Mary the Wife of John Hunter One Shilling Item I Give and bequeath unto my Loving Wife Sarah Buckland all the rest and Residue of my Personal Estate Goods and Chattels whatsoever that I dye possessed of also I Give unto my said Wife Sarah Buckland all my Freehold Estate (that is to say) the House and Premises with the Appurts thereto belonging where I now Live also all that Freehold Messuage or Tenement Adjoining to my said House wherein the widow Winch now lives in Situate and being in Walton aforesaid all which is to my said Wife and to her Heirs and Assigns for ever Item I make my said Wife my full and sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have set my hand and seal the twentieth day of May One thousand seven hundred and Forty and Nine and in the two and twentieth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second of Great Britain France and Ireland King defender of the Faith and so forth I leave to my Cousin Elizabeth Pokens One shilling _ Thomas Buckland Signed Sealed and delivered in the Presence of us Nicolas Ryall _ David Jenkins _ Joseph Bignold Proved at London 1 June 1771 Further Grant 4 September 1795 to Thomas Machall brother of Sarah Buckland who survived the Testator but died intestate PCC Prob11/968
