In the name of God Amen I John Vincent of the parish of Woking in the County of Surrey Yeoman being weak in body but of sound & perfect mind & memory praise be therefore given to Allmighty God do make & ordain this my present last Will & Testam.t in manner & form following yt is to say First & principally I commend my soul into ye hands of Allmighty God hoping through ye merits, death & passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have full & free pardon of all my sins & to inherit eternall life & my body I commit to ye Earth to be decently buryed at the discretion of my Exec.rs in trust And as touching ye disposition of all ye temporal estate as it hath pleased Allmighty God to bestow upon me I give & dispose thereof as followeth. First whereas I have surrendered into ye hands of ye Lord of ye Manor of Woking in ye County of Surrey all my Copyhold lands & Tenements with the appurtenances to ye use of my last will & testament, Now by this my last will I give & bequeath ye said surrendered prmises lying & being in ye said Mannor to Edmund Vincent my yongest son & to his heirs for ever Item I give & bequeath to my said son Edmund Vincent all my Freehold lands lying in ye said parish of Woking ~to his heirs for ever. Item I give and bequeath to my son Edmund Vincent all my goods chattells & personall estate he the said Edmund Vincent paying unto his brother John Vincent halfe ye moneys set down in the Inventory of the goods & chattells of Edmund Hone Yeoman lately deceased & paying my debts legacyes & funerall expences. Item I give & bequeath to my loveing brothers Henry Vincent & Richard Vincent my share of house & lands lying & being in ye Parish of Pirford in ye County of Surrey to be equally divided betwixt them. Item I give & bequeath unto all my Godchildren the sum of five pounds apiece when they shall bring a testimoniall under ye hand of ye Minister of ye Parish where they live to my Executors that they can repeat the Church Catechism by heart. Item I give & bequeath my share of ye Rent of house & lands in Pirford to my loving mother Jane Vincent during her naturall life to be paid her half yearly by my brothers Henry & Richard. Item I give and bequeath to John Merist Vicar of Woking the sum of five pounds to be paid within one year after my decease Item I give & bequeath to ye poor of poor of ye parish of Woking ye sum of five pounds to be paid within one year after my decease at ye discretion of ye Executors Item I give & bequeath to my Maid Servant Jane Hayward the sum of five pounds to be paid after my decease within ye compass of a year provided she continue in my service to ye time of my decease Item I give & bequeath unto Edward Heather of Worplesdon and to Ann his wife ye sum of five pounds a piece to be paid within a year after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my kinswoman Jane Chandler ye sum of five pounds to be paid within one year after my decease Item I give and bequeath to my Men Servants Robert Sawyer & Richard Waterer ye sum of forty shillings a piece to be paid within one year after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my son John Vincent 3 pieces of old gold & 3 gold Rings. Item I give and bequeath unto my loving friends William Collyer & Thomas Marlyn to each of them a Guinea whom I make Executors in Trust for my son Edmund whom I make sole Executor of this my last will & testament. And I appoint my loving brother Richard Vincent of Purbright to be Guardian to my son John in his minority to dispose of his estate to the best advantage of my said son, & to receive the rents & profits of ye said estate for his use And I appoint my loving brother Henry Vincent of Pirford & my trusty friends Richard Lee of Sutton & Laurence Norten to be Overseers of this my will to see it duly in every part fulfilled & performed. And I do hereby revoke disanull & make void all former wills & testaments by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I ye said John Vincent to this my last will & testament have set my hand & Seal The twelfth day of February in ye sixth year of ye reign of our sovereign Lord William by ye grace of God of England Scotland France & Ireland King Defender of ye faith & in ye year of our Lord 1694.
