In the name of God Amen The sixteenth day of May Anno Domini 1709 and in the Eighth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Queen Ann I Margaret Sandham of Kittlewell als Kipplewell in the parish of Horsell in the County of Surry Widow being aged but in health and of perfect mind and memory (praise be given to God) but calling to mind the uncertainties of this mortall Life Doe make ordain and Declare this my last Will & Testament in manner and form following revoking and annulling all former and other Wills by me heretofore made and this is to be taken for my last Will and Testament and no other (that is to say) first and principally I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator and Redeemer hoping to be saved by the mercies and merits of Jesus Christ and my Body to be decently buried as it shall please my Executor hereafter named to appoint and as touching my worldly substance I give and dispose thereof as followeth Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret the Wife of Richard Roake of Horsell five pounds of lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid unto her by my Executor hereafter named out of my Goods and Chattles within six Months next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Richard Roake the sum of one hundred pounds of lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid unto him by my Executor hereafter named out of my Goods and Chattles within six Months next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Granddaughter Margaret Roake the sum of Two hundred pounds of lawfull money above mentioned when she shall come and attain to the age of one and Twenty years to be paid by my Executor hereafter named out of my Goods and Chattles Item I give and bequeath unto my Granddaughter Ann Roake the sum of Two hundred pounds of like lawfull money to be paid by my Executor hereafter named out of my Goods and Chattles when she shall come and attain to the age of one and Twenty years Item I give and bequeath unto my said Granddaughter Ann Roake one feather Bed being in my lodging Chamber two feather Bolsters two pillows three Blankets and one coverlett and all the Furniture whatsoever thereunto belonging on joyn Chest and one Box immediately after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Granddaughter Jane Roake the sum of One hundred pounds of when she shall come and attain to the age of one and Twenty years out of my Goods and Chattles as aforesaid Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandson John Roake the sum of One hundred pounds of when he shall come and attain to the age of one and Twenty years out of my Goods and Chattles as aforesaid Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Henry Roake the sum of One hundred pounds of lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid by my Executor hereafter named out of my Goods and Chattles when he shall come and attain to the age of one and Twenty years And further my Will and meaning is that if either or any of my said Grandchildren shall happen to dye before they shall come and attain to the age of one and Twenty years that then his or her part or parts so dying shall be equally divided amongst the Survivors of them Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Sandham daughter of my Son in Law William Sandham of the parish of Lavington in the County of Sussex the sum of Ten pounds of lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid by my Executor hereafter named out of my Goods and Chattles when she shall come and attain to the age of one and Twenty years Item I give and bequeath unto Margaret Sandham daughter of my said Son in Law William Sandham the sum of Thirty pounds of lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid by my Executor hereafter named out of my Goods and Chattles when she shall come and attain to the age of one and Twenty years Item as for all my Goods and Chattles not above given and bequeathed I give and bequeath unto my son in Law Richard Roake of Horsell whom I do make and ordaine sole Executor of this my last Will & Testament he paying my debts Legacies and Funerall Expences In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal the day and year first above written.
