In the name of God Amen I Joane Lewis of 
Richmond in the County of Surrey Widdow being 
sick and weake in body but of Sound and perfect mind 
and memory praise be therefore be therefore given to 
Almighty God Doe make and ordeine this my present 
last will and Testament in manner and forme following 
that is to say first and principally I commend my Soule 
to the hands of Almighty God hoping through the 
merritts Death and passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ 
to hand full free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sins 
and to inherritt everlasting life And my body I committ 
to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried in 
such decent and Christian manner as to my Executrix 
hereafter named shalbe thought fitt Item I give and 
bequeath to Mr Abiell Berfett Minister of Richmond 
twenty Shillings and to Walter Smith Parish Clerk of 
Richmond ten Shillings Item I give and bequeath to 
John Smither Junr of Richmond the summe of ten 
pounds all the rest residue and remainder of all and 
singular my ready moneys Goods Chattles and 
personall estate whatsoever and wheresoever I wholly 
give devise and bequeath the same to Margery 
Burgesse the wife of John Burgess And I doe hereby 
make and ordeine the said Margery Burgess sole 
Executrix of this my last will and Testament And lastly I 
doe hereby revoake all former and other Wills 
whatsoever by me made or Spoken and none of them 
to Stand in force but this my will only In Witnesse 
whereof I the said Joane Lewis have hereunto set my 
hand and Seale this fourteenth day of Aprill in the one 
and thirtieth yeare of the reigne of our Soveraigne Lord 
King Charles the second by the Grace of God of 
England Scotland France and Ireland King defender of 
the faith etc. Annoq Domini one thousand six hundred
