In the name of God Amen  the One and Thirtyeth day of October, in 
the year of our Lord God One thousand six hundred Sixty & Six  I 
John Shurlock of Woking in the County of Surrey yeoman being sick 
& weake in Body, but of sound & perfect memory praysed be 
Allmighty God for the same  Doe make constitute & ordaine this to 
be my last Will & Testament In manner & forme following (that is to 
say) First and principally I bequeath my soule into the hands of 
Allmighty God my Creator & redeemer assured by beleiving that by 
the meritts of my blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ I shall receive 
full pardon & free remission of all my sinnes And my Body to the 
Earth from whence it was taken to be buryed in the parish 
Churchyard of Shalford in such decent & xpian manner as my 
Executrix hereafter named shall thinke meet or convenient Item I 
give and bequeath unto my Son George Shurlock the sume of Fifty 
pounds of lawfull money of England when he shall attaine to the age 
of One and Twenty yeares Alsoe I give and bequeath unto Mary 
Shurlock my daughter Forty and Five pounds of good and lawfull 
money of England to be payd unto her when she shall attaine to the 
said age of One and Twenty yeares as aforesaid  Alsoe I give and 
bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Shurlock the sume of Forty 
and Five pounds of good and lawfull money of England when she 
shall attaine to the age of One and Twenty yeares  Alsoe my Will and 
meaning is that if either of them shall dye before they shall attaine to 
the said age of One and Twenty yeares then the said sume or sumes 
of money before given & bequeathed to be equally devided amongst 
the Survivors  Item I give and bequeath all the rest of my Goods and 
Chattells unbequeathed unto Mary Shurlock my Wife whom I make 
and ordain to be Sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament she 
paying all my debts and legacyes; and alsoe my Funerall charges if 
that my son Richard Shurlock shall refuse to pay the same, And I 
desire my trusty and loveing Friends Lionell Rawlines of Woking 
afforesaid Gent and John Feilds of the said pish Gent to be 
Overseers of this my last Will and Testament Aydin and assisting of 
my said Executrix for the true performance thereof according to my 
true intent and meaning heerin expressed Soe revokeing all Wills 
formerly by me made and done declaring this to be my last Will and 
Testament have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the day and year 
first above written.
