In the Name of God Amen I Henry Edmead the Elder of the parish of Horsell in the County of Surrey Yeoman do make my last will and testament in manner and form following First I commend my soul to God hopeing to be saved by the death of Jesus Christ and I order my body to be decently buried and as concerning my worldly Estate I give and dispose thereof as followeth to wit I give and bequeath to my two Daughters Deborah and Jane Edmead five pair of home spun sheets apiece and to each of them one large Trunk with all things that shall be therein at the time of my decease to which several and respective Trunks each of them has a Key and I give devise and bequeath to my Son Henry Edmead his Heirs Executors and administrators all the Rest and Residue of my Goods chattels Rights credits Ready money and Personal Estate whatsoever and all my lands Tenements and Hereditaments To hold to him my said son Henry Edmead his Heirs Executors admors and assigns for ever subject nevertheless to and I hereby charge the same with the payment of and I will that he and they do and shall pay thereout all my debts and Funeral Expenses to my four daughters Mary wife of John Friend Deborah Edmead Jane Edmead and Anne wife of Henry Bartholomew thirty pounds apiece of lawful Money of Great Britain which with thirty pounds reserved for himself is the Money saved and intended for them by my late wife to my said Daughter Mary Friend fifty pounds more of like Money to my said Daughters Deborah and Jane Edmead One hundred and fifty pounds apiece of like Money and to my said Daughter Anne Bartholomew fifty pounds more of like Money all to be paid within six Months next after my decease including therein all moneys payable and to become payable to them any or either of them in or by means or virtue or power of the settlement made on my Marriage with my said late Wife and of the last Will and Testament of my late Father Henry Edmead deceased or either of them And I Nominate constitute and appoint my said son Henry Edmead full and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and I revoke all former Wills by me made in Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal the twenty sixth day of January in the thirty third year of the Reign of King George the second over Great Britain and so forth and in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and sixty Henry Edmead Signed sealed published and declared by the said Henry Edmead the Testator to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who subscribed our Names as witnesses thereof in his presence and in the presence of one another James Weller James Douglas John Shotter On the twenty third day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and sixty eight administration with the Will annexed of the Goods chattels and credits of Henry Edmead the Elder late of the parish of Horsell in the county of Surrey deceased was granted to Ann Bartholomew wife of Henry Bartholomew the sister and administrator of the Goods of Henry Edmead the younger deceased whilst living the son and sole Executor and Residuary Legatee named in the said Will of the said Henry Edmead the Elder deceased she having been first sworn by Commission duly to adster The said Henry Edmead the younger surviving the said Testator but dying before he had taken upon him the Execution of the said Will.
