In the name of God Amen  the One and Twentieth day of September 
in the Five and Twentyeth yeare of the raigne of our Sovraigne Lord 
King Charles ye second &c Annoqe dni 1673  I Robert Petoe of 
Woking in the County of Surrey Taylor being sicke and weake in 
body, but of sound and pfect memory, praysed be Almighty God for 
the same  Doe make this my last Will and Testament In manner and 
forme followinge (that is to say) First I commend my soule to 
Almighty God my Creator and my Body to the Earth to be buryed in 
decent and XCxian manner according to ye discreson of my Executrix 
hereafter named  Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Petoe my 
mother in law Two shillings of lawful English money  Item I give and 
bequeath unto My sister Mary Gregory widdow One shilling  Item I 
give and bequeath unto Clemence Gregory and Henry Gregory (the 
Children of the said Mary Gregory) to each of them Five shillings  
Item I give and bequeath unto My Brother Thomas Watts all my best 
appell.  Item I give and bequeath unto John Watts and also to Anne 
Watts the Children of the said Thomas Watts the sume of Twenty 
pounds of lawfull money of England equally betweene them (that is 
to say) Ten pounds to each of them, to be payd to them when as 
they shall attaine to their sevall ages of One and twenty yeares, Butt 
it is my will and meaning that the said sume of Twenty pounds shall 
be payd by mine Executrix into the hands of my loveing Freind 
William Sherrett of Crastocke in Woking afforesaid  To be by him (or 
his Assignes [sic - presumably intended to be 'Heirs'] or Assignes) 
used or put forth for ye use of ye said Two Children, and what proffitt 
he or they shall receive for ye said money It is my will and meaning 
that the same shall be payd unto the said Thomas Watts and Anne 
his wife towards the maintainance and education of the said John 
Watts and Anne untill they shall accomplish their sevall ages of One 
and twenty yeares as afforesd.  Item all the rest of my Goods and 
Chattells whatsoever I have yett unbequeathed I give and bequeath 
unto my loveing sister Jane Petoe whom I make sole Executrix of this 
my last will and Testament she paying of my debts, Legacies, and my 
Funerall charges  In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand 
and Seale the day & yeare first above written
