In the name of God Amen I Robert Lee of Sutton in the parrish of Wokinge in the Countie of Surrey yeoman beinge of reasonable good health and of good and perfect rememrance thanks bee given unto God do make and publish this my last will and testament Uppon the Twelfe day of July in the eight yeare of the Raigne of our Sovereigne Lord Kinge James of England France and Ireland and of Scotland the three and Fortieth and in the yeare of our Lorde god one thousand sixe hundred and Ten. In manner and forme followinge Imprimis I give and bequeath my soule to Almightie God that gave it unto me and my bodie to be buried either in the church or churchyarde of Wokinge at the discretion of my Executor and overseers Item I give and bequeath unto the poore people of the saide parrish of Wokinge Fifteene shillinges to bee distributed amongest them on my funerall daye by mine overseers Item I give and bequeath unto the use of the sayd parrish church of Wokinge five shillinges Item I will give and bequeath unto my daughter Margerie one hundred poundes of good and lawfull money of England to be paid unto her at the age of of [sic] xxi yeares by myne overseers Item I will give and bequeath unto my daughter Agnes one hundred poundes of good and lawfull money of England to be paide unto her at the age of xxi yeares by myne overseers Item I will give and bequeath unto my daughter Catherine one hundred poundes of good and lawfull money of England to be paid unto her at the age of xxi yeares by myne overseers Item I will give and bequeath unto my daughter Joane one hundred poundes of good and lawfull money of England to be paid unto her at the age of xxi yeares by myne overseers And furthermore it is my will and meaninge that if any of my said daughters doe happen to die before they come to the age of xxi yeares that the portion or portions of her or them dyinge shall remaine and be devided amongst the rest by even and equall portions Also I doe think it good and it is my will and meaninge that if my overseers shall thinke it good to prefer any of my daughters to a good marriage before the age of xxi yeares my will and meaning is that that daughter which doth soe marry to my overseers likeinge shall have the hundred pounds that is before bequeathed unto her paide makinge an acquittance to my overseers. And it is my will and meaninge that if one or more of my daughters do happen to marry before they come to the age of xxi yeares and have their portions paide them and do chance to dye before she or they come to the full age of xxi yeares my will and meaninge is that the survivor or survivors of them shall have no part nor portion of the portion or portions of her or them that are deade. Furthermore it is my will and meaninge that my overseers shall have full power and authoritye to lett and sett my freehold landes and lease landes and to receave the rentes of my freehold landes and lease landes and Annuityes to paye and discharge all debtes and Legacies that are more than my moveables will pay and discharge and also all charges that my overseers shall or may be charged with about the executinge and performinge of this my last Will and Testament Moreover it is my will and meaninge that if my sonne do happen to die before he come to the age of xxi years or after with out heires of his bodie lawfully begotten that then my daughter Agnes shall have my lease landes in Burphame to her and to the heires of her bodie lawfully begotten and for want of heires of her bodie lawfully begotten to my daughters Katherine and Joane and to the heires of their bodies lawfully begotten (by equall portions) and for wante of heires of their bodies lawfully begotten unto the right heires of my daughter Margerie Furthermore it is my will and meaninge that my daughter Agnes shall have an Annuity out of the lande of John Curstes of Wonnersh of seaven poundes and ten shillinges a yeare and the same annuity to remaine from heire to heire with the lease of Burphame Furthermore It is my will and meaning that my daughter Katherine and my daughter Joane shall have all my Freehold landes lyinge in greate Bookham and Effingham and little Bookham and a freehold meade at Maforde to bee devided betweene them by even and equall portions And if any of the two daughters chance to die without heires of their bodies lawfully begotten then my will and meaning is that it shall remaine to the longest liver of them twayne and for wante of heires of the longest liver of them twayne to the right heires of my daughter Margerie More over it is my will and meaning that my daughter Katherine and my daughter Joane shall have Anuity of fower poundes by the yeare out of John Gyles his grounde in Alberry Also it is my will and meaning that my daughter Katherine and my daughter Joane shall have an Anuity of Three poundes by the yeare out of a piece of grounde called hookes of Tycrotes land of Cranley to bee devided betweene them by even and equall portions and to remayne from heire to heire accordinge as my freehold is appointed Item I will give and bequeath to my sonne Richard the best brasse spitt the best presse and all tables and formes with all Thelues in the house Furthermore it is my will and meaninge that if my sonne do happen to marry before he come to the age of xxi yeares or after and dyinge without heires of his body lawfully begotten then my will and meaninge is that his wife shall reseave and take out of myne Annuity Ten pounds duringe her naturall life And it is my will and I desire my overseers that my sonne may have any thinge that they have to lett or sett before any other having and payinge such rente as shall be reasonable And if he will not pay such rente as shall be reasonable It shall be lawfull for my overseers to putt him out and they to make the best of it And Further I desire my overseers that they will bind my freehold lande and lease lande and Annuityes to pay all such legacies as shall be unpaide Further it is my will that if my oveseers doe thinke it good to preferre any of my daughters to the better marriage with the pmt of Twenty poundes more than ther former portions It shalbe lawfull for them to reare it out of the landes before mentioned Item I make and appointe my sonne Richard Lee to be my whole Executor And I do make constitute and appointe Richard Lee of Lomepittes the elder and Henry Lee of Winsome and Richard Lee the younger of lome pittes to be the overseers of this my last will and Testament and for their paines I give them five shillinges a peece In Witnes that this is my last will and Testament I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the daye & yeare above written the marke R of Richard Lee this was sealed in the presence of the marke R of Richard Lee of Lomepittes the ser the marke H of Henry Bullen | the marke I of John Gyles and William Braye scrips Vicesimo nono die menss Octobris Anno Dni 1611 ...
