In the name of God Amen the Fifteenth day of March in the Three and Thirtieth yeare of the Raigne of our Sovraigne Lord Charles the second by the grace of God King of England Scotland France and Ireland Defender of the Faith &r Annoq Domi 1680 I James Lamburne of Woking in the County of Surrey yeoman beinge sicke and weake of body but of sound and perfect memory praysed be Almighty God for the same doe make this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following (That is to say) First and principally I comend my soule to Allmighty God my Creator assuredly believing that by the merritts and reconciliation of my blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ I shall receive full pdon and free remission of all my sinnes and be saved and I bequeath my Body to be buryed in decent and Christian manner at the discretion of mine Executrix hereafter named And as for such Temporall estate as the Lord of his infinite goodnesse and mercy hath lent unto me I give and bequeath thereof as followeth (that is to say) Imprimis I will give and bequeath unto my Foure daughters (that is to say) Anne Lamburne, Elizabeth Lamburne, Mary Lamburne and Sarah Lamburne to each of them the full and just sume of One hundred pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid unto them by James Lamburne my sonne or his heires out of all my Freehold Lands in Woking afforesaid, within one yeare and one day next after he the said James or his heires shall enjoy the said Freehold Lands, And it is my Will & meaning that if all or any of my said daughters shall happen to die or dept this life before their or any or either of their said sume of One hundred pounds to each of them shall be paid as before declared having Issue of their bodyes or either of them lawfully begotten, that then the said sume of One hundred pounds to be paid unto the Child or Children equally amongst them so deceased If either of my said daughters shall happen to die as beforementioned and soe it is my Will and meaning for of the rest of them And it is further my Will and meaning that which of either or any of my said daughters shall happen to die having no Issue lawfully begotten of her body or their bodyes at such time as the same shall become due & payable that then her and their sume or sumes of One hundred pounds to each of them soe given and bequeathed shall be paid unto the rest of my said daughters which shall be then living or any and every of them equally, if they shall happen or either of them to die then the same to be paid to the Child or children of the deceased at and within the said One yeare & one day above menconed according to my true intent and meaning And it is alsoe my Will and meaning that if all my said daughters shall happen to die having no Issue of their bodyes lawfully begotten at the time before menconed for payment thereof the severall sumes of One hundred pounds before given & bequeathed That then the same shall remaine and be to the said James Lamburne my sonne and his heires Item I give and bequeath unto the said James Lamburne my sonne and his heires all my Messuages or Tenem.ts with all Barnes outhouses & buildings and alsoe all my Freehold Lands thereunto belonging situate lying and being in Woking in the County of Surrey afforesaid with all and every the appurtenances thereunto belonging or appertayning paying of my debts which are oweing and ought to be paid Upon Mortgage of the same or otherwise by him or them, and alsoe the legacies before menconed in such manner and forme as above declared Item all the rest of my Goods and Chattells whatsoever I have not yet given and bequeathed I give and bequeath the same unto Sarah my Wife whom I make sole Executrix of this my said last Will and Testament she paying of my debts which I doe or shall owe in right or Conscience to any pson or psons (at the time of my decease) whatsoever and alsoe my Funerall charges And I frustrate and make void all Wills formerly by me at any time made and done and I declare this to be my last Will and Testament only In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seale the daye & yeare first above written. the mke J of James Lamburne Signed Sealed published Prnounced and declared by the said James Lamburne for his last Will and Testament, And the words above interlyned (that is to say (of the deceased) and of or any) & their bodyes) under lines ye 18th 19th 20th and 21th was before th'ensealing of this his said last Will and Testament in the presence of us the marke R of Robert Lamburne Edward Parker Sam.l Heath Probatum fuit ... quarto die mensis Maii Anno Dni millimo sexconmo Octogesimo secundo ...
