In the name of God Amen The First and twentiethe daye of July in the Twentiethe yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles by the grace of God of England Scotland France & Ireland King Defender of the Faith &r I Anthony Lashford the elder of Woking in the County of Surry Taylor being well in health of body and of good and pfect mynd and memory (thanks be given to Allmightie God) Doe make Ordeyne devise and declare this my last Will and Testament in Manner and Forme following hereby revokeing all former & other Wills whatsoever heretofore by me made And first I committ & comend my soule unto the hands of Allmightie God my Creator, trusting through the death and passion of Christ Jesus my Saviour to be made ptaker of his everlasting Kingdome & my Body to the Earth to be buried in Christian buriall according to the discretion of my Executrixes & Overseers undernamed Item I give and bequeath unto the poore of the pish of Wokeing aforesaid Tenn shillings to be distributed according to the discretion of my Executrixes undernamed Item I give will devise & bequeath unto Ann my loveing Wife One beadsteed, the Bedd boulsters and all furniture thereunto belonging whereon she and my selfe doe usually lye, and Two payre of Sheets and a Chest wch she brought wth her Item I give will bequeath and devise unto Annis Lashford & Elizabeth Lashford my Two Daughters, All that my Messuage or tenement & backside wth the appurtennce scituatt lying and being in the Tything of Mayford in the pish of Woking aforesaid wch I lately bought & purchased of James Coxe of Stoke next Guildford in the Countie aforesaid yeoman And alsoe I give bequeath and devise unto them the said Annis Lashford & Elizabeth Lashford my said daughters All that my pcell of land or Orchard wth the barne thereunto belonging wch I lately erected and sett upp And lately by me the said Anthony Lashford purchased of William Waterer of Mayford Bridge & is situate lying and being in Mayford aforesaid wch said Messuage or Tenement, backside, barne & Orchard wth the apptennce are now in the tenure and occupacon of me the said Anthony Lashford or of my Assignes To have & to hold the said Messuage or Tenement, backside, barne & Orchard aforesaid wth the apptennce from after the death of me the said Anthony unto them the said Annis Lashford & Elizabeth Lashford my said Two daughters & to their heires and Assignes forever Item I give will and bequeath and devise unto my sone John Lashford who is now out of this Kingdome Tenn pounds of lawfull money of England, to be paid out of the Messuage or Tenement & backside wth the apptennce lying and being in the Tything of Mayford, if ever hee shall happen to retorne to demannd the same Item I give will and bequeath and devise unto my sonne William Lashford Twelve ponde of lawfull money of England, to be paid wthin one Moneth after my decease All the rest of my goods Chattles implements & houshold stuffe (my Debts and legacies being first paid & my funerall expences discharged) I give will and bequeath unto my said daughters Annis Lashford and Elizabeth Lashford whome I make Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament Giving unto each of them for their paynes herein to bee taken Two shillings a peece In Witnesse whereof I the said Anthony Lashford have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the daye and yeare first above written Annoq Dni 1644 the marke of Anthony X Lashford This was Signed Sealed acknowledged and declared by the said Anthony Lashford to be his last Will and Testament in the psence of; Stephen Squibb Thomas Stacy John Faggetter Probati fuit humo Testandu coram ... duodecimo die mensis Aprilis Anno Domini 1649 ...
