In the name of God Amen The Three and twentyeth day of July in the Two and thirtyeth yeare of the Raigne of our Sovraigne Lord King Charles the Second &c And in the yeare of our Lord One thousand six hundred and Eighty I Richard Lee the elder of Loamepitts in the pish of Woking in the County of Surrey Yeoman being sick and weake in Body but of sound and pfect mind and memory (prayse be therefore given to Allmighty God) hopeing through the meritts death and passion of my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ to be saved only, Doe hereby make ordaine and declare this my last Will and Testament in Manner and Forme following (That is to say) First & principally I Comend my Soule into the hands of Allmighty God my Creator And my Body I Comitt to the Earth to be decently and Christianly buryed according to the discretion of my Executor hereafter named Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Joane Lee the sume of Thirty and Nine pounds of lawfull money of England, Thirty pounds thereof now lying and being in the possession of Thomas Young of Woking afforesaid Draper, and Nine pounds thereof now in the hands of her the said Joane Lee And alsoe I give and bequeath unto the said Joane Lee my daughter One Feather Bed Matt & Cord Curtaines and Valleynes thereunto belonging now standing and being in the Chamber over the Kitchen in the Messuage or Tenem.t wherein I now dwell Two Feather Bolsters one pair of sheetts and Two Blanketts. Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Katherin Chittey Tenn Shillings of lawfull money of England, Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Jane Edfell the sume of Forty pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid unto her by mine Executor within Two yeares next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto Richard Lee my Grandson (the sonne of John Lee hereafter named) the sume of Five pounds of lawfull money of England To be paid by my said Executors within Foure yeares next after my decease into the hands of John Chittey my son in Law, and by him to be used or disposed of for the best benefitt or profitt that he can or shall for the said Richard Lee my Grandson And the said five pounds wth all proffitts thereof by him received to be paid to the said Richard Lee when he shall attaine to the full age of One and twenty yeares Item all the rest of my Goods and Chattells whatsoever is yett unbequeathed I give and bequeath unto my sonne John Lee whom I make sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament to pay my Debts Legacies and Funerall charges And I Frustrate and make void all former Wills by me at any time made and done and declare this to be my last Will and Testament only And I desire my trusty and loveing Kinseman Richard Merryot of Woking afforesaid Husbandman and my sonne in Law John Chittey of Woking afforesd yeoman to be Overseers of this my last Will and Testament And I give and bequeath unto them Five shillings of lawfull money of England to be equally devided betweene them towards their paines besides their charges In Witness whereof I the said Richard Lee the Elder have hereunto set my hand and Seale the day and yeare first above written the marke R of Richard Lee the elder Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Richard Lee the elder to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us Christopher Moor James Woods Sam.l Heath John Chittey Probatum fuit humoi Testum Ricardi Lee ...
