In the name of God Amen The Seventh day of August 1731 and in the Fifth yeare of the Reign of our gracious Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King defender of the Faith &c I William Head of Woaking in the County of Surry yeoman being sick in Bodey but of sound and perfect mind memory and Understanding (thans be to God) in Consideracon of Mortality doe make ordeyn and declare this my last Will and Testament in Manner and Forme following hereby Revoking and Annulling all former Will or Wills by me heretofore made and this to be taken for my last Will and Testament and no other (That is to say) First & principally I Commend my Soule into the hands of Allmighty God my Creator and Redeemer hooping in and by the Reconciliation of Jesus Christ to be saved And my Body to the Earth from whence it came to be Desently Buryed at the discretion of my Executors in Trust hereafter named And as touching such Temporall Estate as the Lord far above my faults hath bestooed upon me my Will and Meaning is the same shall be Imployed and Bestooed as hereafter in and by this my Will is Expressed Item Whereas I have surrendered all my Coppyhold lands and Tenements into the hands of the Lord of the Mannor of Woaking aforesaid to the use of my last Will and Testament I hereby Give Devise and Bequeath unto my only Son William Head all that my Copyhold Messuage or Tenement Buildings Gardens Carchare or Backside and all the land thereunto belonging Conteyning by Estimation Three and Twenty Acres be the same moore or less lying and being in the Tything of Kingfield in the said parish of Woaking And one parcell of Land Called Sundrig Conteyning by Estimation Five Acres be the same moore or less which I latly purchased of Thomas Mazlin lying and being in the said parish of Woaking And alsoe one parcell of Land Conteyning by Estimation Tenn acres be the same moore or less in Hale End in the said parish of Woaking with all and every of the appurten.ces unto the said Messuage or Tenement and severall parcells of lands belonging to Remaine and be to the soule use and behoofe of my said son William Head his Heires and assigns for ever But if my said son William Head doe happen to depart this life before he doe attaine unto the age of One and Twenty years and without Issue or a Heire of his one Body Then the said Messuage or Tenement and several parcells of land and their appurten.ces herein before mencond to Remayne and be to the Soule use and behoofe of my sisters Damaris the Wife of Richard Honer Mary the Wife of Thomas Hayward Jane the Wife of John Collins Sarah Head and Elizabeth my beloved Wife their heires and assignes for ever Equally to be Devided between the Five Item I doe hereby Make Constitute and Ordeyn my Brother in law Richard Honer my Uncle Richard Collyer and Elizabeth my Beloved Wife (dureing the time she shall continue my Widdow and no longer) Executors & Executrix in Trust untill my said son William Head shall attaine unto the age of One and Twenty years And I doe Direct and Appoynt that my said Wife shall have and Enjoy all the Rents of all my lands and Messuage with the appurten.ces herein before mencond upon this condition that she doe and shall Maintain Norish and bring up my said son William Head in all Mannor of things necessary for him sutable to his ability and when my said son William Head shall attaine unto the age of One and Twenty years then my said Wife shall lett him peacably enjoy all the said Rents himself She not to Chearg him with any thing laid out for his Maintenance aforesaid and She not to be Countable to him for any of the said Rents And my Will is that my Executors In Trust shall sell my Goods and Chattells and to pay my Debts and when my said son William Head shall attaine unto the age of One and Twenty years that they doe render a fair account in Writing of all such Moneys as they have Received and allsoe that they have Disbursed and he to pay them Reasonable satysfacton for their Trouble in doing his buiseness And Further my Will is that my said Wife doe and shall allsoe pay out of the Rents of my land before mencond dureing the time she Receives the said Rents unto my Mother Damaris Head Widdow Eight pounds a year which is due unto her out of my lands and Messuage or Tenement In Witness whereof I the said William Head have hereunto set my hand and Seale the day and yeare first above written William Head Signed Sealed published and declared by the said William Head for and as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as Witnesses in the presence of the Testator Samuell Greenford Richard Bedford Willm Collyer Probatum fuit hurmoi Testum Guilielmi Head ...
