The Nuncupative Will of Joane Bedford late of Woking in the County 
of Surrey Widowe she being very sick and weake is in her last 
sickness & in the place of her ???? ?????? at Woeking and being 
possessed of her tarnes Household Goods and ready Money in her 
own possession and in the possession of others for her did upon the 
Seaven and Twentieth day of Aprill in the yeare of our Lord God One 
Thousand Six Hundred Eighty and Eight give and bequeath the same 
as followeth Viz: Imprimis unto Henry Bedford her sonne the full 
sume of Tenn pounds of lawfull money of England part whereof 
being the sume of Five pounds she declared that he had in his hands 
and possession allready  Item she bequeathed moreover unto the 
said Henry her son her best Feather Bed and Bolster, to have and 
also dureing the terme of his natural life and after his decease to the 
use of Anne Bedford his daughter and her exors and admors  Item 
she gave and bequeathed unto Henry Bedford her Grandchild one 
Joynt Cupboard now standing and being in the possession of the said 
Henry her son  Item she gave and bequeathed unto William Bedford 
her son the sume of Tenn pounds of lawfull money of England Fifty 
shillings thereof be paid unto the sd Henry her son in Pt of a debt 
oweing by the said William unto the sd Henry and the other Fifty 
shillings thereof to be kept in hand by her Executor hereafter named 
in Pt of debt also unto him from the said William Bedford  Item she 
gave and bequeathed moreover unto the said William Bedford her 
sonne her biggest Brass Kettle  Item she gave and bequeathed unto 
her daughter Mary Burroughes (the Wife of Francis Burroughes) the 
full and just sume of Tenn pounds of lawfull money of England to be 
paid unto her or her assignes wthin Twelve months next after her 
decease And alsoe the severall Legacies before menconed to be pd 
to the said William and Henry her sonnes wthin the Twelvemonths 
afforesaid  Item she gave and bequeathed moreover unto the sd 
Mary Burroughes her daughter One Feather Bed and Bolster wch the 
said Joane then lay upon, and her Red Rugge, One Blankett Two pair 
of Sheetts One long Table Cloath and one Fringed  Table Cloath, One 
Brasse Kettle, alsoe her Gold Ring, halfe a dozen of Napkins And 
alsoe her best striped Curtains and Valleynes, and one old fashoned 
Pewter Candlestick And alsoe all her wearing Apparrell and on new 
pewter dish  Item she then gave and bequeathed unto her 
Grandchild Richard Bedford now Apprentice with John Bedford her 
sonne the sume of Twenty shillings of like lawfull money of England 
to be paid unto him at the end of the terme of his Apprenticeshipp  
Item she then gave and bequeathed unto her Grandchild John 
Bedford the sonne of William Bedford And alsoe unto A???y Bedford 
Daughter of the sd William to each of them one pewter Dish  Item 
she then gave and bequeathed unto her Grandchild Mary Bedford 
the daughter of the said Henery Bedford her sonne One Pewter Dish  
Item she then gave and bequeathed unto her Grandchild John 
Bedford the sonne of John Bedford afforesaid One Pewter Dish and 
one Pewter Candlestick  Item all the rest of her Goods and Chattells 
ready money and all meanes for Money yet unbequeathed she then 
gave and bequeathed unto the said John Bedford her sonne whom 
she did then declare sole Executor of this her last Will and he to pay 
her debts and Legacies to the severall Legatees wthin the times 
before limitted menconed and declared And alsoe her Funarall 
charges  And she declared this to be her last Will and Testament 
only.
Pronounced and declared the day and yeare above said by the said 
Joane Bedford (she being then in good sound and perfect mind and 
memory) in the presence of us  Susannah Keepin her  mark  Thomas 
Goter  Sam Heath
