In the Name of God Amen I John Knowls of Horsell in the County of 
Surry Husbandman being weak in Body but of sound and perfect 
Mind and Memory praised be God for the same do make this my last 
Will and Testament as followeth Item  I give my two sons John 
Knowls and Henry Knowls all my whole Estate both real and 
personal whatsoever and wheresoever within the Kingdom of Great 
Britain to be divided equally between them share and share alike To 
hold to them and their Heirs for ever only my Will is that they shall 
equally keep my loving Wife Ann their mother to her satisfaction at 
each or either their Houses but if she be not  so satisfied at any time 
my Will is that out of any or all my Freehold Estates she shall have 
the sum of ten pounds yearly paid during her Widowhood and to be 
paid by quarterly payments Lastly I appoint my Son John Knowls 
Executor of this my last Will and Testament and him to have all 
reasonable Charges and Expences beared and allowed in the 
Execution thereof and hereby revoking all former Wills by me made  
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this 
nineteenth day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven 
hundred and sixty four John Knowls

This Will was proved at London the twenty second Day of December 
in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and sixty four 
before the Worshipful George Harris Doctor of Laws and Surrogate of 
Right Worshipful George Hay also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or 
Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully 
constituted by the Oath of John Knowls the Son of the deceased and 
Sole Executor named in the said Will to whom administration was 
granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said 
deceased having been first sworn duly to administer.
