The last Will and Testament of Joseph Whitfield of Horsell in the County of Surry Esquire I give to my loving Wife Martha her Heirs and Assigns forever all my Freehold and Copyhold Messuages Lands Tenements Tithes and Hereditaments in the Parishes of Wokeing and Horsell in the said County of Surry and elsewhere having first duly surrendered my Copyhold Estate to the uses of my Will And as to all the rest and residue of my Estate both real and Personal I give the same after payment of my debts and funeral charges unto my dear Wife and do make her Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made In Testimony whereof I the said Joseph Whitfield have hereunto set my hand and Seal the first day of July in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty One _ The mark of Joseph Whitfield _ Signed Sealed Published and declared by the said Joseph Whitfield the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses in the presence of the said Testator _ Hayward Denny _ J Chatfield _ J W Bridger C& to Mr Chatfield The mark of Jane Maggie. This Will was proved at London the fourteenth day of August in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty One before the Right Worshipfull John Bettesworth Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Martha Whitfield Widow the Relict and Sole Executrix named in the said Will To whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased being first sworn by Commission duly to Administer the same.
