In the name of God Amen the Second Day of January in the Nine and twentyeth yeare of the raigne of our gratious Soveraigne Lord King Charles the Second &t Anno Domi 1677 I John Walden of Horsell in the County of Surrey Yeoman being sicke and weake in Body but of sound and perfect memory thanks be to Allmighty God for the same Doe make this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following (that is to say) First and principally I commend my Soule to Allmighty God my Creator and my Body to the Earth from whence it was taken to be buryed in decent and Christian manner according to the discretion of my Executrixe hereafter named Item I give and bequeath unto Richard Walden my Brother and to his Wife and his Children the Sume of Ten pounds of lawfull money of England equally to be devided amongst them to be paid by mine Executrixe within one yeare next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto James Walden my Brother and to his Wife and Child or Children the Sume of Ten pounds of lawfull money of England equally to be devided amongst them to be paid by mine Executrix within one yeare next after my decease as aforesaid Item I give and bequeath unto James King and Thomas King my Brothers in law and alsoe to Anne King and Rachell King my Sisters in law to each of them the Sume of Five pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid to them in manner following (That is to say) to Anne King the Sume of Five pounds thereof within one yeare next after my decease and to James King the Sume of Five pounds to be paid within two yeares next after my decease and to Thomas King the Sume of Five pounds to be paid to him within Three yeares next after my decease and alsoe to Rachell King the Sume of Five pounds of lawfull money of England afforesaid to be paid to her within Foure yeares next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Walden my loving Wife all that my Messuage or Tenement Situate and being in Horsell afforesaid with all Barnes Stables Outhouses Edifices and buildings Gardens Orchards Backsides and Rateroome with the Malthouse & buildings thereunto the said Messuage or Tenement & Malthouse belonging or appertaining with all the my Freehold Lands (that is to say) Meadow arrable and pasture lands lying and being in the parishes of Horsell afforesaid and Chobham in the said County of Surrey I give and bequeath to the said Mary Walden my Wife and to her heires for ever with all and every of the appurtenances thereunto belonging or appertaining Item I giveand bequeath unto the said Mary Walden my loving Wife All my Goods and Chattells whatsoever are yet un bequeathed whome I make Executrix of this my last Will and Testament she paying of my debts and legacies as afforesaid and my Funeral charges and I Declare this to be my last Will and Testament only and I desire my loveing Uncle Richard Roake the elder of Horsell afforesaid and my loveing Uncle William Sherrett of Crastocke in Woking in the County of Surrey afforesaid to be Overseers of this my last Will and Testament In Wittnesse whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seale the day and yeare first above written.
