1748 March 25th In the Name of God Amen I Jane Vanner of the Parrish of Chertsey in the County of Surry Spinster being of Sound Mind and Memory thanks be to God therefore but knowing the Uncertainty of this Worldly State Do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say First I commend my Soul to Almighty God And my Body to be Buried in Frensham Church Yard in the County of Hants and my grave to be Bricked over and a Rail And as to my goods and Chattels that I shall be Possessed of at the time of my Decease I do Give and Devise the same as follows First I Give to my three Nephews William Thomas and James Vannah the Sons of my Brother William Vannah the Sum of Twenty Pounds apiece and my Nephew Stephen Saunders the Sum of Twenty Pounds and my Neice Jane Butt the Sum of Five Pounds and my Second Best Suit of Cloaths from head to Foot and my Sister Elizabeth Marriott All the Rest of my Wearing Apparel and Wearing Linnen my Ring and my Tea Spoons I Give to all my Nephews and Neices that are not named in this Will the Sum of Twenty Shillings a peice I Give to my Good Freind Anna Bass the Sum of Fourscore pounds forty pounds to be paid her in Six Months and the other forty to be paid the said Anna Bass at the Twelve Months after my Decease I Will and bequeath that John and Thomas Vannah Sons of Olliver Vannah deceased Shall be my Executors and the Residue of my Effects Witness my Hand and Seale Jane Vanner David Whitehead (Affidavit of due Execution sworn by Robert Carruthers of Walton upon Thames Linen Draper) Proved at London 27 March 1759 PCC Prob11/845
