In the Name of God Amen The Fifth day of February Anno Dom 1731 I Jane Spooner of the Parish of Wootton in the County of Surrey Widow being weak and infirm in body but of sound and disposing mind and memory thanks be unto God for the same (hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made) Doe make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following First and Principally I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping to be saved through the Merits and Passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ And I order my body to be decently buryed at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named And as to the worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased Almighty God to bless me withal I give and dispose thereof as followeth Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Spooner now the Wife of Francis Charman of Horsham in the County of Sussex Yeoman the Sume of Tenn Pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid unto her by my Executor within twelve months next after my decease I give and devise unto my Granddaughter Jane Charman the Sume of Thirty pounds of like lawfull money to be paid unto her by my Executor when she shall come to the Age of One and Twenty Years And All the rest and residue of my Goods and Chattells ready money and Personal Estate not herein before bequeathed after my debts Legacies and Funeral Expences shall be paid and discharged I give and bequeath unto my loving Son Henry Spooner whom I nominate constitute and appoint sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Jane Spooner have to this my last Will and Testament Sett my hand and Seal the day and Year first above written Jane Spooner (Attestation Clause) The marke of Anne Battye _ Thomas Martyr _ Thomas Sykes Proved at London 1 February 1732/3 PCC Prob11/657
