This is the last Will and Testament of me Richard Tidy of Ewhurst in the County of Surrey Mealman made this second day of November one thousand eight hundred and fifty two as follows (that is to say) In the first place I will and direct that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expences shall be paid by my Executors hereinafter named out of the first and readiest that shall come unto their hands from my effects And subject thereto I give and bequeath to my dear Wife Hannah Tidy the use of all my household goods furniture plate line and china for her life and after her decease I give and bequeath the same household goods furniture plate line and china unto my two daughters Maria the Wife of James Grinsted and Eliza Tidy to be equally divided between them I also give devise and bequeath to my said Wife Hannah Tidy my newly purchased copyhold cottage with the pieces or parcels of land or ground to the same belonging in Ewhurst aforesaid and within and held of the Manor of Gumshall Horley in the said County of Surrey as also all other my real estate and all other my personal estate To hold the same and the rent interest and profits thereof respectively unto my said Wife Hannah Tidy for her life and after her decease I give and bequeath the said copyhold cottage pieces or parcels of land or gorund real and personal estates respectively unto my said two daughters Maria the Wife of James Grinsted and Eliza Tidy heir heirs executors administrators and assigns absolutely as tenants in common and not as joint tenants And I appoint my friends Henry Allberry of Rudgwick in the County of Sussex Miller and John Jenkins of Rudgwick aforesaid Farmer Executors of this my Will And I hereby revoke all former Wills In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament contained in one sheet of Paper set my hand on the foot hereof the day and year first above written in the presence of two credible persons whose names are hereunto subscribed Richard Tidy his Mark X (Attestation Clause) Frederic Churchman _ John Hedger Proved at London 21 May 1853 PCC Prob11/2173
