In the Name of God Amen I John Shepherd of the Parish of Charlwood in the County of Surry ffarmer being of sound perfect mind memory and understanding do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) ffirst I will that all my just Debts and ffuneral Expences be paid and discharged by my Executrix hereinafter named I give devise and bequeath unto my Wife Mary Shepherd all my household Goods and Linen of all sorts together with all my Cows Horses Harness Ploughs Carts Harrows Waggons and all and every my other Implements of Husbandry Tackling whatsoever and all and every Part and Parcel of Corn Hay thrashed and unthrashed growing and to grow and all and every my Personal Estate whatsoever now on my ffarm in Charlwood aforesaid or elsewhere together with the lease and term of years therein yet to come and unexpired of the ffarm and Premises which I now rent of Sir Thomas Wallis Dunlop in Charlwood in the County of Surry aforesaid during the Term of her natural life and after her death then what she shall die possessed of I give the same unto my two Sons and two daughters to be equally divided between them share and share alike namely John, William, Mary and Sarah Shepherd and lastly I do nominate and make my Wife Mary Shepherd full and whole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said John Shepherd the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal the twelfth day of January in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and two _ John Shepherd (Attestation Clause) James Ede_ Charles Dudney _ James Goble Proved at London 12 April 1802 PCC Prob11/1373
