In the name of God Amen I Agnes Hone of Horsell in the County of Surry widdowe being aged and weake yett sound and perfect in memory thanks be to God doe here ordaine make and declare this my last will and Testament as followeth First I commend and committ my soule into the hands of Almighty God my faithfull Creator hopeing as for the admission of my sinnes by the meritts of Jesus Christ and my body to bee buryed with christian decent buryall in the churchyard of Horsell aforesaid att the discretion of my Executor hereafter named Item I give and bequeath to Thomas Hone my Grandson and oldest sonne of Thomas Hone my sonne all those my brookes and Meadowe grounds called Parley Brookes lyeinge in wookeinge in Horsell conteyninge twelve acres more or lesse and one Coppse called Carches contayninge five acres more or lesse To have and to hold to him and his heirs of his body lawfully to bee begotten for ever hee the said Thomas Hone paying to John Hone Richard Hone and Robert Hone his brothers younger sonnes of my said sonne Thomas Hone Twenty pounds to bee shared by even and equall proporcons amongst them as the same may bee raysed of the rents of the aforesaid lands the tax deducted the oldest to bee paid first and soe on and on and likewise to my Granddaughter Agnes Hone Twenty pounds as that shall also bee raised after the foresaid Twenty pounds willed and devised to my said Grandsonnes shall be discharged Provided that if any of my said Grandchildren fortune to dye then my will is that the porcon of that childe so dyeing shall bee utterly extinguished And if it shall happen my said Grandchild Thomas Hone to dye without heirs of his body lawfully begotten then my will and pleasure is that my foresaid lands shall remain and bee to Richard Hone my Grandsonne the sonne of my said sonne Thomas Hone and to the heirs of his body lawfully begotten for ever hee the said Richard paying yearely after the aforesaid legacies and discharges unto Elizabeth the now wife of my said Grandchilde Thomas Hone in case shee survive her husband three pounds by the yeare soe longe as shee shall remaine a widdowe and not longer Is also my will and pleasure is that if my said Grandchilde Thomas Hone should happen to have paid all the legacies aforesaid before his death and dyeinge without heires that then my said Grandchild Richard Hone shall repay the one halfe thereof that is to say Twenty pounds unto the aforesaid Elizabeth his brothers widdowe or her Executors or assignes Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Hone my sonne the table and forme in the hall in his dwellinge house the Mill in the outward Kitchen Chamber the saltinge trough in the outward Kitchen duringe his naturall life and after his decease the said mill to remaine to Thomas Hone my Grandchilde his Executors and assigns and the said Table and forme fromtime to time to continue and remaine to the lawfull heire or heires of my sonne Thomas Hone who shall inherritt his cheife messuage or mansion house hee now dwelleth in Item my will and pleasure is that for my house and land wherein John Woods the younger now dwelleth my Grandsonne Richard Hone shall have and hold the same to him and his heirs for ever hee the said Richard paying to his father Thomas Hone the sume of thirty pounds Item I give to Thomas Hone my Grandsonne the bedstead fetherbedd feather boulster horse boulster I nowe lye on together with one Coverlette belonginge to itt all in my Chamber Item I give to John Hone my Grandchilde the furnace already sett upp in the outward Kitchin Lastly I ordaine my sonne Thomas Hone to bee the sole and lawfull Executor of this my last will and Testament hereby frustrateinge and annullinge all former wills whatsoever In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the one and twentieth day of November one thousand six hundred fifty-five the marke of Agnes Hone Witness hereunto Richard Alessey This will was proved att London the nineteenth day of September in the yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred fifty six before the Judges for probate of wills and grantinge Administration lawfully authorised by the oath of Thomas Hone the sonne and Executor named in the said will to whom Administration of all and singular the goods Chattells and debts of the said deceased were remitted he beinge first sworne well and truly to administer the same.
