In the name of God Amen The one and twentieth daie of June in the yeare of our Lord Gode One thousand sixe hundred fiftie and one I John Walden of Horsell in the Countie of Surrey yeoman sicke in bodie but whole in minde and of perfect memorie praised be Allmightie Gode therefore doe here make and ordeyne this my last will & testament in manner and forme following That is to say First I will and bequeath my Soule to Allmightie God hopeing by the reconciliation of Jesus Christ to be saved onely And my bodie to the earth to be buried in Christian Buriall according to the direction of my executrix hereafter named Item I give and bequeath to the use of the perish Church of Horsell aforesaid twelve pence Item I give and bequeath towards the justise of the Peace of the said parish of Horsell two shillings Item I devise my messuage and lands in Horsell aforesaid and also my lands lyeing and being in the parish of Chobham in the countie aforesaid unto John my sonne and to his heirs for ever to come unto him when he shall attaine to the age of foure and twentie yeares The Thirds or Dowers of his mother and grandmothers excepted out of the same if they happen to be then living Item I give and bequeath unto Catherine my daughter and unto Richard and James my two youngest sonnes Fortie poundes apeece of lawfull money of England to be paid unto them when they shall accomplishe there severall ages of one and twentie yeares And if it happen that either of my said children die before they come to the said age That then her or his portion soe dieing shall remayne and be equally divided amongst the survivors of them Item I give and bequeath all those goods and householdestuffs mentioned and expressed in a Schedule annexed to an Indenture of Seale by mee l???en unto Robert Roake my Father in Lawe; unto John my Sonne now standing and being in my house or messuage in Horsell aforesaid All the rest of my goods and chattells not given nor bequeathed I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth my wife whom I make and ordaine my sole executrix of this my last will and Testament to paie my debts legacies and funerall charges And I request my Father in Lawe Robert Roake aforesaid and my brother in lawe Richard Roake to be my overseers and I will to them for there paines two shillings and sixe pence apeece In witness whereof I the said John Walden have hereunto sett my hand and seale the daie and yeare first above written John Walden In the presence of Rob.
