HOCKLEY	William     Tea dealer of Bermondsey

GOD AMEN  I William HOCKLEY of 37 Grange Walk in the Parish of 
Bermondsey being in a sound state of mind do hereby bequeath to my dear wife 
Caroline Mary HOCKLEY The whole of my goods and chattels money stock in 
trade Club moneys and whatever I may be possessed of after all just debts are paid 
and funeral expenses for her own sole use ? I do hereby set my hand and seal in the 
year of our Lord 1847 ? signed William HOCKLEY ? Jeremiah Thos CRAWLEY 
Thomas MATTHEWS in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury in the Goods of 
William HOCKLEY deceased

Appeared Personally Jeremiah Thomas CRAWLEY of Chalcroft Terrace New Cut 
Lambeth in the County of Surrey Broker and make oath that he is one of the 
subscribed witnesses to the last Will and Testament of William HOCKLEY late of  
Grange Walk Bermondsey in the County of Surrey deceased the same being now 
accounts annexed bearing date the fourth day of April one thousand eight hundred and 
forty seven and he further made oath that on the fourth day of April aforesaid  the said 
Testator duly executed his said Will by signing his name at the foot or end thereof in 
the presence of this Deponent and of Thomas MATTHEWS the other subscribed 
witness thereto both of whom were present at the same time and this Deponent and 
the said Thomas MATTHEWS thereupon attested and subscribed the said Will in the 
presence of the said Testator and of each other  J.T. CRAWLEY  on the 23rd day of 
February 1850 the said Jeremiah Thomas CRAWLEY was duly sworn to the truth of 
this affidavit. Before me F.T. PRATT ESQ. Pres. Edward W. CROSSE Not? Pub.

ON the 28th day of  February 1850  Admon (with the Will annexed) of the goods 
chattels and receipts of William HOCKLEY late of No 37 Grange Walk Bermondsey 
in the County of Surrey Tea Dealer deceased  was granted to Caroline Mary 
HOCKLEY widow the relict the residuary legatee named in the said Will having been 
first sworn only to administer . No Executor named in the said Will.
