Holy Trinity in Guildford in the County of Surrey Widow and Relict of Robert HARRISON late of the same place perukemaker and hairdresser my late husband deceased being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding but mindful of my mortality do this fourteenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and nineteen make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say first I commend my soul into the hands of almighty God who gave it and my body I commit to the earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named and as to all my worldly estate whatsoever and wheresoever wherewith it may please God to bless in and all such monies and effects of which I have any disposing power I give devise and bequeath and dispose of the same after payment of my funeral expenses the expense of proving this my Will and all my just debts as hereinafter mentioned whereas my said late husband Robert HARRISON deceased in and by his last Will and Testament bearing date on or about the second day of August in the year one thousand eight hundred and eight among other things did give and bequeath unto [?] Annuity or yearly sum of One hundred pounds for and during the term of my natural life to be paid as therein is mentioned and he directed his Executors and Trustees thereinafter named to set apart sufficient sum out of his personal estate for the payment of the said annuity and he thereby authorized and empowered me by my last Will and Testament in writing or any writing in the nature thereof to give and dispose of the sum of Five hundred pounds part of the said sum which should be set apart for payment of the said sum of Five hundred pounds as directed by his Executors and Trustees to pay in such manner as and by my will or other writing shall direct or appoint & whereas my said late husband Robert HARRISON by a Codicil to his Will bearing date the eleventh of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine gave and bequeathed unto me in and by his said Will to be bequeathed by me in and by my last Will and Testament for the benefit and advantage of ANN CHARLOTTE NEWELL spinster daughter of ANN NEWELL then living with me or to such other person or persons as I shall in my discretion think proper Now I the said Mary HARRISON do by this my last Will and Testament in pursuant of the authority given to me in and be the said Will of my late husband Robert HARRISON give and dispose of the said sum of Five hundred pounds to and amongst the several persons and in the proportions and manner following that is to say I give and bequeath and dispose of the sum of Fifty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain part of the said sum of Five hundred pounds to William HOLLAND of Esher in the County of Surrey husbandman for his own use and benefit to Mary HILTON wife of Edward HILTON of Abinger in the said County Farmer the sum of Fifty pounds of like money other part thereof for her own use and benefit To John BOXALL of the parish of Witley in the said County Gamekeeper the sum of Fifty pounds of like money other or the part thereof for his own use and benefit To Ann NEWELL my servant now living with me the sum of One hundred and Fifty pounds of like money or the part thereof for her own use and benefit to Ann Charlotte TAUNTON wife of Thomas TAUNTON of Guildford aforesaid Brewer the sum of One hundred and Fifty pounds of like money other part thereof for her own use and benefit And to Edmund LUSH of Morrow in the said County of Surrey Farmer the sum of Fifty pounds of like money being the residue and remainder of the said sum of Five hundred pounds for his own use and benefit Also I give and bequeath unto Mary MEARS of Shalford in the said County Spinster the sum of Five pounds of lawful money of Great Britain for her own use And as to for and sourcing the said sum of One hundred pounds given and bequeathed to me and by the said Codicil to my said husbands Will to be bequeathed by me in and by my last Will and Testament for the benefit and advantage of the said Ann Charlotte NEWELL now the wife of the said Thomas TAUNTON or to such other person or persons as I shall in my discretion think proper I do hereby give and bequeath the same sum of One hundred pounds unto the said Ann NEWELL and Ann Charlotte TAUNTON equally between them to be divided share and share alike Also I give and bequeath unto the said Ann NEWELL and Ann Charlotte TAUNTON all my wearing apparel of every sort and kind to be divided between them in such manner and proportions as they shall agree and I give and bequeath to the said Ann Charlotte TAUNTON all my Wine Liquors Eatables vitals and other articles of house consumption to and for her own use and benefit Also I give and bequeath to each of my Executors hereinafter named [a ??] Two guineas and a half value each and I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my personal Estate and Efforts after and subject to the payment of all my just Debts Funeral expenses and the expenses of proving and carrying this my Will into execution Unto the said Ann NEWELL And Ann Charlotte TAUNTON equally between them to be divided share and share alike to and for their own respective use and benefit and all which said several legacies and Sums of Money above mentioned and by this my Will given bequeathed and disposed of my Will is shall be paid at the end of three calendar months next after my decease and nominate constitute and appoint John SILVESTER of Stoke next Guildford in the County of Surrey Carpenter and Joseph WALLER of the parish of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Guildford aforesaid (?.ist?) Executors of this my last Will and Testament provided always none the less and my Will is that my said Executors shall and may at all times in the first place pay and reimburse themselves out of the monies which shall come to their hands under and by virtue of this my will all such (?) changes damages and expenses as they or either of them shall sustain or be put into in the execution of this my will and that neither of them shall answerable for any loss that may happen to any of the monies or legacies and promises hereby given bequeathed and disposed of unless (?) happen through his or their willful neglect or default nor one for the other of them nor for more money than shall actually come to each of their hands respectively and I do hereby revoke and make void all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare those present only to be or contain my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Mary HARRISON Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses Wm MILES ~ James HEATH ~ Joseph HOCKLEY \ This is a Codicil to be added to and taken as part of the last Will and Testament above written of Mary HARRISON of the parish of Holy Trinity Guildford in the County of Surrey Widow whereas William HOLLAND late of Esher in the County of Surrey husbandman hath lately departed this life whereby the Legacy or sum of Fifty pounds to Hester HOLLAND the widow of the said William HOLLAND to and for her own use and benefit & I direct the same to be paid to her at the end of three calendar months next after my decease and I hereby revoke the legacy or sum of Fifty pounds by my said Will and bequeathed to Mary HILTON the wife of Edward HILTON of Abinger in the said County farmer and direct that this sum shall not be paid to her and I give bequeath and dispose of the said last mentioned legacy or sum of Fifty pounds to Edward LUSH of Merrow in the said County of Surrey Farmer to and for his own use and benefit and I devise the same to be paid to him over and above what he will be otherwise entitled to under my said Will at the end of three calendar months after my decease And I do hereby ratify and confirm my said Will in all respects save as the same is hereby altered In Witness whereof I the said Mary HARRISON have to this Codicil to my said Will contained in this and the preceding sheet set my hand and to this sheet set my hand and seal this Fifth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty Mary Harrison S/S Signed sealed published and declared by the said Mary HARRISON the testatrix as and for a Codicil to be added to and taken as part of her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses Jno LEGGATT ~ John SAVIDGE ~ Joseph HOCKLEY Proved at London with a Codicil 23 March 1826 before the Judge by John SILVESTER and Joseph WALLER the Executors to whom administration was granted the said John Silvester being first sworn and the said Joseph Waller having first made a solemn and sincere declaration or affirmation according to Act of Parliament by Commission duly to Administer.
