The National Archives Will of MINTON Probert PROB 11/1672 Executed 7 May 1821 Codicil: 7 September 1821 Proved: 4 June 1823 This is the last Will and Testament of me Probert MINTON of Nursery Row Larksfield in the parish of St Mary Newington in the County of Surrey gent?m Being at this time?. Etc I give devise and bequeath all that my freehold estate messuage or tenement called and known by the name of Lower Crombfurth situated lying and being in the parish of Glascombe in the County of Radnor now in the occupation of my son Thomas Probert MINTON with all rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging to my son Thomas Probert Minton and his heirs and assigns for ever subject to the paying of my just debts and funeral expenses I also give and bequeath all that messuage tenement of leasehold house and garden wherein I now dwell in situated as aforesaid in Larks fields unto my daughter in law Ealnior MINTON wife of my son T. P. Minton of Glascombe aforesaid during the term of her natural life subject to the ground rent of two pound two shillings a year to me or my heirs and from and after her decease to my son T.P. Minton and his heirs and assigns for and during the remainder term of the original lease of fifty two years to come granted from Sam?l BRANDON esq to Henry PARSON and Ben?j WHITMARSH properly transferred from Pearson and Whitmarsh to me Probert Minton I also give unto my son T.P. Minton all that original lease of a piece of garden ground in Bedford Street afore?sd sixty feet in front and one hundred and fifteen feet deep right into Nursery Row Larksfield afore?sd unto my son T.P. Minton wherein now four houses and my now dwelling house stands upon the said piece or parcel of ground now in the several occupations of T. BROWN Palmer THOMPSON Barnet MINTON which houses are subject to me of the ground rent of two pounds and two shillings a year each by pay?t yearly to Sam?l Brandon Fourteen pounds a year for the five houses and piece of garden ground in Bedford Street sixty feet by sixty now let to FFIDGE & BARNETT at the yearly rent of four pounds ten shillings a year that is to say Ffidge two pounds and Barnett two pounds ten shillings a year I also give to my granddaughter ANN JONES of Dysart my fine piece and my best mahogany round table and reposing on my other mahogany round table two silver spoons I give to my granddaughter ANN MINTON now wife of T.P. MINTON jnr of Glascombe aforesaid I also give to my son T.P. Minton Glascombe the sum of five pounds stock in the Pr. Court in the Bank of England left to me by my sister in law Ffra?s WHITE after the decease of John WHITE her surviv? husband Will?m MASTERS executors St John St I also give to my son T.P. Minton my best silver watch during his life and after his decease to my grandson T.P. Minton forever I give to my granddaughter Ann Jones one silver table spoon and two silver tea spoons the other two spoons I give to Ann Minton Crombfurth all the rest residue and remainder of my house goods wearing apparel books cash in hand bank Clubs [?] I give to my son T.P. Minton and his heirs for ever I constitute nominate and appoint my son T.P. DAVIES Bedford St # Ann GILLMAN Nursery Row CODICIL made 7th Sept 1821 of me Probert Minton I direct and appoint Elizabeth MOWBRAY No. 1 Parsonage Row near Newington Church to have sole management of my funeral in case Executors cannot arrive in town in time and to be buried alongside of my wife and son who is buried on the Northside of Nicholas HALLIARD tombstone near to YOUNG ALLOUS vault and not to be buried for twelve days after my decease and in case she will not undertake the same I appoint Mr Thomas Davies of Bedford St Larksfield to perform the same all necessary expense to be paid by me executor Thos Probert Minton of Glascombe out of my personal estate and to be paid one pound for their trouble who performs the same all the money arising from my two Clubs the British and the Goldmate (?) Society I give to my executor T.P. Minton I also give to Sarah THOMPSON alias LIVERPOOL OF Tower Street Westminster one sovereign to buy a mourning gown to be paid for in one month after my decease. Davies Bedford Street # William Gilman Nursery Row # Ann Gilman Nursery Row Appeared Personally 2 June 1823 Thomas Davies of No 1 Bedford Street Larksfields Walworth in the County of Surrey Yeoman and made oath that he knew and was well acquainted with the said Probert Minton late of Nursery Row Larksfields [etc?swears to veracity of the codicil] Thomas Davies was duly sworn the same day by Sam?l K. [?] Surr. 1st Prt P.A. Watson N.P. Proved at London with a Codicil 4th June 1823 before the Worshipful Charles Coote Dr of Laws Surrogate by the oath of Thomas Probert Minton the son the sole executor to whom Admon was granted having been first sworn to do so.
