The National Archives Will of ANN GWINN Widow of Ripley, Surrey PRO: 11/1869 Executed: 9 September 1833 Proved: 30 November 1836 In the name of God Amen This is the Last Will and Testament of me Ann GWINN widow of Mr George GWINN late hairdresser of Ripley Street in the parish of Send in the County of Surry in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Thirty Three In the first share I give unto the hands of my two executors and trustees as will be thereafter named all my real and personal in in property goods and chattels to settle and request as this my will shall Secondly I give and bequeath my freehold estate of two tenements out houses and garden situate in Ripley Street in the County of Surry after my just debts are paid as follows equal share and share alike between my four beloved sons George GWINN James GWINN Edward GWINN and Thomas GWINN thirdly I give and bequeath thirty pounds [œ30] out of my personal estate to my nine beloved grand children Elizabeth Mary Ann James John Maria Robert Charles Emma & Eliza STEERE to have equal share and share alike of the said thirty pounds fourthly my will and desire is that my executors do give the refusal of my freehold estate to my beloved son James Gwinn at my purchase price if he refuse either of my other beloved sons as they may agree among themselves as I should not like it to be sold out of the family if it can be avoided Fifthly I give and bequeath the REMAINDER of my personal estate of goods and chattels and money and all debts due to me to be equally shared between my four beloved sons and after all my just debts are paid Sixthly the whole of this my Will and Testament to be under the direction and management of Thomas COLBORN ffishmonger of Ripley in the parish of Send I the County of Surry and Mr Ffrancis WHITBURN woodman of Homewood in the Parish of Send in the County of Surry who I have chosen and appointed to settle and adjust this my last Will and Testament within one year after my decease Witness my name X Ann Gwinns mark SS Signed sealed published and declared by the said Ann Gwinn as her last will and testament in the presence of us who in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names Signed ~ John READ Draper ~ Thos Colborne Fishmonger ~ John Parsons Kaye Gent ~ dated the ninth day of September one thousand eight hundred and thirty three.
