This is the last Will and Testament of me James Giles of the Parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey Husbandman I give and bequeath All my Money Securities for Money Household Goods and Personal Estate of every sort and kind unto my Wife Sarah Giles to and for her own absolute Use and Benefit subject nevertheless to the payment of my just Debts my Funeral Expenses and the Charges of proving this my Will I give and devise unto my said Wife Sarah Giles All that my Freehold Messuage or Cottage with the piece of Land thereto belonging situate near the Hermitage in the Parish of Woking in the said County of Surrey and now or lately in the occupation of Thomas Boxall or his assigns And also all that my Copyhold Messuage or Cottage and two acres and a half of Land or thereabouts with the Appurtenances situate within and held of the Manor of Bisley in the said County of Surrey And also all those my two acres of Copyhold Land (be the same little more or less) situate within and held of the Manor of Bisley aforesaid which I have lately purchased of and from William Walken of Bisley aforesaid Husbandman To hold the said three several Estates unto her my said Wife Sarah Giles according to the several natures and tenures thereof and to her heirs and assigns for ever And I do nominate and appoint my said Wife Sarah Giles to be the sole Executrix of this my Will and revoking all former Wills by me made I do decalre this to be my last Will and Testament In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this twenty first day of December in the Year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thrity three. The mark of + James Giles Signed sealed published and declared by the said James Giles the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other subscribe our names as Witnesses hereto J A Sibthorpe Guildford T J Nalder Clerk to Mr Sibthorpe Sophie Barnett Servant to Mr Sibthorpe 14th March 1840 Sarah Giles the Widow and Relict of the said James Giles the Executrix named in the within Will was duly sworn to the truth and faithful performance of the same and as usual and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the Sum of Twenty pounds and that the deceased died on the twelfth day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and Forty. Before me Henry Ayling Surrogate This Will of James Giles late of the Parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey Husbandman deceased was proved on the nineteenth day of March 1840 Before the Reverend Henry Ayling Clerk & Surrogate by the Oath of Sarah Giles Widow the Relict the sole Executrix to whom Admon was granted being first sworn duly to administer.
