In the name of God Amen I Matthew Dalton of Bisley in the County of Surrey Yeoman being very sick and weake but of sound and perfect mind and memory praised be God for it Do make and ordaine this my last will and Testament ( this Second day of January in the fifth yeare of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord and Lady King William and Queene Mary over England &r Anno Dm one Thousand six hundred Ninety and three ) in manner and forme following (Viz) Imprimis I Committ my Soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it and my body I Committ to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named And as touching such worldly Estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I dispose thereof as followeth (Viz) I give and bequeath unto my Grandaughter Mary Giles All that my Coppyhold Messuage or tenement and Ten acres of arrable meadow and pasture ground be it more or lesse situate lying and being together in the parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey in the Mannor of Bisley Abutting upon Lands of James Hone on the North part and Lands of John Goring on the East part the Queens Lane on the South part and Lands of William Collyer on the West part to be and remaine with all and singular the Appurtenance thereunto belonging unto my said Grandaughter Mary Gyles her heires and assignes forever Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandson John Gyles all that my three acres and a halfe of arrable Land be it more or less situate and being in the Mannor of Bisley abutting upon the Comon on Each part thereof to be and remaine with the Appurtenances unto my said Grandson John Gyles his heirs and assignes forever And my will and meaning is that if it shall happen that if either of my Grandchildren aforesaid dye without issue to be lawfully begotten upon the body of either of them that then the premisses before mentioned with the Appurtenances shall be and remaine to the use and behoofe of the Survior of them and the heirs and assignes of the Survivor of them Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Gyles my daughter one shilling of lawfull English money Item all the rest and residue of worldly and personall Estate whatsoever I have not as yet disposed of I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Mary Dalton making her my sole Executor to this my last will and Testament And I do hereby intreat my Loving friend William Collyer to be overseer to this my last will and Testament hereby revokeing and making void all other wills by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the day and yeare above written.
