In the Name of God Amen I John Campion Rector of Bisley in the County of Surry being I thank God in a good state of bodily health and not sensible of any decay of understanding but fully assured of the certainty of death and of the uncertainty of the time when think it proper to make and write this my last Will and Testament with my own hand as to my body I desire it may be buried decently and with as little expense as possible my Soul I humbly resign into the hand of that good God who gave it hoping for the pardon of my Sins by the infinite mercy of God and the infinite Merits of my Dear Redeemer and placing my trust and confidence in nothing else as to that small portion of Worldly Substance with which it has pleased God to bless me I bequeath my Nephew Willongby Wynors one shilling only it being one great reason why I have thought it necessary to make this Will to prevent his giving my Wife any disturbance after that one shilling shall be paid to them I bequeath the whole of whatever Worldly Substance I shall dye possessed of particularly a Leasehold of forty years of a house in the Parish of Chesheton in the County of Cambridge situate near the Castle of Cambridge known by the name of Chesterton aforesaid I bequeath I say that and all other my Worldly Substance to my dear Wife Mary Campion and do by these presents make her my sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this Seventh day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Twenty nine John Campion Declared to be my Will three sixpenny stamps being upon it in the presence Tho Lodge John Courtness Tho Lodge Jnr. This Will was proved at London the thirtieth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty seven before the Right Worshipful John Bettesworth Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Mary Campion Widow the Relict of the said deceased and sole Executrix named in the said Will to whom Administartion was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Creditts of the said deceased being first sworn by Commission duly to administer.
