In the name of God Amen
I Elizabeth CLISBY late of Harrow in the County of Middlesex but now of Camberwell in the 
County of Surrey ~ widow ~ being weak of body but in sound and perfect mind and memory do 
this twenty ninth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seventeen hundred and 
ninety seven make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following first I 
commend my soul to God and direct that my body shall be buried with my late husband and 
after my just debts and funeral expenses are paid and satisfied I give and bequeath to Thomas 
SPENCER my late husbands brother in law the sum of one hundred pounds sterling but if he 
should not survive me then I give the hundred pounds so given and bequeathed to his surviving 
children share and share alike I also give to my brother John ISELTON and Ann his wife or 
either of them surviving me one hundred pounds three per cent South Sea Annuities  but if I 
should survive them then I give the one hundred pounds to be equally divided in three shares 
one to Thomas ISELTON one to Ann PAIN and one to John ISELTON sons and daughter of  
my brother John Iselton I also give unto Thomas ISELTON son of my late brother Thomas 
ISELTON twenty pounds and to Charles ISELTON son of my executor (thereinafter named)
The like sum of twenty pounds I also give to my sister Ann [Cassell?] an annuity of two pounds 
per annum for her own life only I also give to my sister Jane ISELTON an annuity of one pound 
ten shillings per annum for her life only I also give to Thomas Iselton Ann Pain and Mary 
BALLINGALL son and daughters of my brother John Iselton the sum of five pounds each for [?] 
and I give to Mary Ballingall one silk gown and unto Mary Ballingall my nieces daughter  my 
watch and I also give my wearing apparel to my sisters Jane Iselton and Ann [Cassell?] and the 
residue of my property in whatsoever it may consist I give and bequeath unto John Iselton of 
Lombard Street son of my brother John Iselton on condition of his truly paying the annuities 
before mentioned to my two sisters Ann [Cassell?]  and Jane Iselton during the term of their 
respective natural life and I do appoint the said John Iselton of Lombard  Street my whole and 
sole executor of this my Last Will and Testament ~ E CLISBY ~ (ss) Signed sealed and 
delivered by the Testator as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who 
were present at the signing thereof  Jas Burton No 46 Old Bethlem Bishopsgate ~ Ann Chadd 
servant to Mr John Iselton at his house Camberwell Surrey

This Will was proved at London the 9th day of August the year of our Lord one thousand 
seventeen hundred and ninety eight before the Worshipful John Sewell Doctor of laws 
Surrogate of the Right Honorable  Sir William Wynn ~ knight ~ also Doctor of Laws master 
Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath 
of John Iselton the sole executor named in the Will to whom administration was granted of all 
and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased having been first sworn only 
to adm.     End.
