This is the last Will and Testament of me TIMOTHY HILL  of the Parish of St Mary Lambeth in 
the County of Surrey ~ Ironmonger ~ first I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses 
be paid by my Executor or Executrix hereinafter named Also I give and bequeath to my wife 
SARAH HILL  for her natural life our house in London Road three houses  in Oakley Street 
together with the interest of six hundred pounds lent or mortenant on a house in Baker Street  
in the parish of St Mary le Bow in the County of Middlesex and at the decease of my wife Sarah 
Hill then to my son TIMOTHY HILL  and his heirs and I also give to my wife Sarah Hill all my 
stock in trade utensils tools fixtures books and  book debts to her for her own use till my son 
Timothy Hill shall attain his twenty first year which shall then be delivered to him for his sole 
use and benefit together with the stock of the same value as at the time of my decease with the 
lease of the house I now possess and inhabit books  book & debts the same as they may 
happen to stand  And  I give to my brother MOSES HILL the sum of three hundred pounds to 
be paid out of the trade and if my wife Sarah should marry again then the houses in Union 
Street and London Road shall immediately  go to my son Timothy and I appoint my wife and 
son my Exors to this my last Will and  Testament revoking all former wills in writing whereof I 
have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighth day of March one thousand seven hundred 
and ninety two TIM.HILL  Signed sealed published and declared by the above Testator as and 
for his last Will and Testament in the presence of MOSES HILL ~

Three Hundred Pounds 3 pc' to be Bot in out of the property and stock of cash in hand to be 
applied as per directions already given to my wife and applied as I have directed her and 
afterwards see a copy of the Will of DANIEL HILL  TIM HILL 8 March 1792

24th Oct 1792
APPEARED PERSONALLY  JOHN PENNINGTON of the Strand in the parish of St Clement 
Danes in the county of Middlesex ~ Glazier & Painter ~  SARAH PENNINGTON  of the same 
place ~ spinster ~ and make oath that they know and were well acquainted with TIMOTHY 
HILL late of the Parish of St Mary Lambeth in the County of Surrey  deceased and also with his 
manner and character of hand writing and subscription having often seen him write and 
subscribe his name and having now viewed and carefully perused the paper writing hereto 
annexed marked with the letter "A" and bearing date the eighth day of March  One thousand 
Seven hundred and Ninety Two and also a note or Memorandum at the foot or bottom thereof 
beginning thus "Three hundred 3 pc' " ending thus "and afterwards see a copy of the will of 
Daniel Hill " and thus subscribed 'Tim Hill' they say and verily and in their conscience believe 
the whole body [?] and contents  of the said paper writing and also the note or Memorandum 
thereto set and subscribed were and are in the proper handwriting and subscription of the said 
TIMOTHY HILL save and except the letter "A"  placed thereon in order to identify the same J. 
PENNINGTON ~ Sarah PENNINGTON ye same day  the said John PENNINGTON and Sarah 
PENNINGTON were duly sworn to the truth and the afore going affidavit before me Geo 
HARRIS surrogate pro t,  W.V. JENNINGS not pub.

THIS WILL was PROVED at London with a [codicil] the thirty first day in December in the Year 
of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Ninety  Two before the Worshipful George 
HARRIS Doctor of laws and Surrogate of the Right Honourable Sir William WYNNE  Knight 
also Doctor of Law Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury 
lawfully instituted by the oath of Sarah HILL widow the relict of the deceased and one of the 
executors named in the said will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the 
goods chattels  and credits of the said deceased having been first sworn only to administer  
power reserved of making the like grant to Timothy HILL the son of the said deceased and the 
other executor named in the said will when he shall apply for the same.   END

  Insert in right hand column Household furniture plate and linen to my wife as long as she remains a widow and 
then to my son Timothy but if she should marry again one half of the house furniture plate  and linen shall be
